  1. From ESPN.com:

Surging Miami tries to avoid upset bid by South Florida

South Florida (3-1) at No. 9 Miami Fl (2-1), 8:00 pm EDT

MIAMI (Ticker) -- Ninth-ranked Miami attempts to avoid becoming South Florida's second straight upset victim when the intrastate foes meet in a non-conference matchup on Saturday.

Last week, the Bulls (3-1) stunned then-No. 9 Louisville, 45-14, in arguably the biggest upset of the college football season thus far.

Wide receiver Amarri Jackson ran for two touchdowns and threw for another, all on reverses, for the Bulls, who concluded a 3-0 homestand after a 23-13 season-opening loss at Penn State.

Chad Simpson returned the second-half kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown to open a 31-7 advantage in the first Big East Conference contest for both teams.

Former Big East member Miami (2-1) has bounced back from a season-opening loss at Florida State with a triple-overtime win at Clemson and a 23-3 triumph over Colorado last week.

Kyle Wright passed for a career-high 264 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score for the Hurricanes, who blanked the Buffaloes for the first three quarters. Sinorice Moss had five catches for 111 yards, including a 53-yard TD.

Miami has been ranked in a national-best 93 consecutive media polls dating to December 4, 1999. Michigan had been ranked in every poll since 1998 before falling out this week.

The schools will be meeting for the first time.

  2. My opinion (which doesn't count for a whole hill a beans) is that you should tell him that he has more supporters than detractors here.  he is well appreciated by those who count, and should come back soon.  Of course he should also develope a serious case of "elephant skin" too so that things won't bother him when someone or a few someones have a difference of opinions.

    ;D

  3. I am going to be on the road and out of any kind of earshot for the game vs Louisville.  Gotta pick up my wife at the airport 2 hours away.  I would appreciate it if someone were to be able to text me the scores as well as the BIG plays that we make (not interested in Lvlle)  Things like BIG Andre or Ponton runs, or Huge PJ passes.  Ints, Fumb, things like that.  Let me know and I will send you my cell #.  I will paypal you if it costs anything.  (I am in Canada but on AT&T network).

    8)

    Appreciate it.

I will miss you all in the chat room.....light a candle for me and have a beer.

  4. You can't forget that Brenner has 8 shutouts and 6 of them from last year.  No matter what happends on the field, you have to respect that Brenner was the starter last year, and Hall must not have impressed the coaches enough to warrant the change in depth chart in the practices.

Now if we start to see a major increas in his GAA then perhaps you change, but his early in the season, you just got to hope that they work the kinks out.

Not to mention that Brenner was an outstanding HS player who's credentials seemed to be a little better than Hall.  So he earned the starting spot, you might as well see if he wants to keep it.  Hall has 3 more years to earn his way to being a starter.

  5. I agree about the assett.  Howie has been an integral part of this board for a long time and I hope that the personal attacks will soon die down.

Remember....High School is over folks.  Time to stop being children and let people rant if they want to rant.

Free Speech.  It means the freedom to talk to the radio show host any way you want without making threats.

    Come back Howie !!!!

  6. Its exciting to see all these faces coming to USF and will start out the season playing for "our side"

The one thing that always makes me nervous is that I hope they all end the season on the team and in good health.  We all know how bad the SD floor is with the "parkay curse", and the after hours shenanagans.

Lets just hope we end the season with as many as we started.
