  1. I don't have the time or patience for this. Clock is ticking and I'm getting old. Hope is not a strategy. But here I sit hoping as I'm not able to do much else.
  2. Well, if I had my choice, take the best of the PAC leftovers out west. Add SDSU and SMU I guess. Have an eastern pod with USF, Tulane and others.
  3. Brett says the BIG is getting bigger. The Big Ten is getting even bigger with Oregon and Washington becoming the latest schools to join the conference from the Pac-12 starting in 2024, sources told Action Network.
  4. That's interesting. It does seem that the B12 machine and positive press that they get is unfairly characterizing the addition(s) as a great thing. Colorado has been downright putrid. Maybe if the PAC12 hired better propagandists (hope that's a word) they would have teams fighting to join them. There is a realistic public perception of instability. Can't seem to get past it. Oh yeah, the handling of SDSU was another error on the part of the PAC. Big sigh!
  5. I have been talking up that negative for a while. But despite that disadvantage for UCF, there isn't talk of the B12 trying to ease it.
  6. What a laugh! This is ridiculous. Media with conflicting reports about teams coming and going, posted within hours. Nobody knows.
  7. I agree with this. This idea that teams would complain about travel and being on an island gets poo-poed as they should just be grateful for the invitation to another conference. And then when talking about the value of USF in easing the burden, nansayers claim that USF is not an attractive candidate for expansion. Bring up the recent record, the lack of OCS and so forth.
  8. Someone talked about the stages of grief over USF's realignment woes. I'm in depression again. I will probaby bounce back to anger soon. What I've been reading today is how the ACC is looking at possibly adding PAC teams. Excuse me, but why? And then the B12 might add UConn in lieu of PAC teams. Now come on. Why can't anything break our way? Also, can we take some action to be visible in this? Why are we so quiet about our desire to change our situation as a G5? Remember Willie's mantra to DO SOMETHING. It would be nice.
  9. Killed the golden goose. Regionalism is out the window. We don't have the amount of money to just buy our way in to the bigger conferences. AAC likely loses teams that are centrally located or more western. No where for us to go right now. Come on ACC and SEC. Looking for movement there.
  10. This is our moment. FSU exits and USF fills the slot in the ACC. Too much smoke about FSU leaving and I can't imagine that unequal distributions can be arranged and would suffice to keep them. When does the B12 GOR start? It would stink if UCF was somehow brought into the ACC instead of us.
  11. Are they going to get PNW schools to fill the slots vacated by FSU and Clemson if they are moving on? Oregon and Wash in the ACC!? Nationwide just like the B10 with their two schools on the West Coast in LA. Will the ACC care about adding back a FL team then?
  12. There was an article in the Miami Herald recently about that. I would link that but I'm on my mobile and it's difficult to do right now.
  13. Concur. We let Houston go 4 and 24 on the way to flushing our chance for a conference ship down the tubes. That one I can't let go.
  14. That's a good game to watch to get geared up for two of our upcoming opponents. I'll do that later.
  15. August 2nd is Wednesday. Boy we're almost there. We did it!
  16. Yes. Definitely a bonus. Just thinking of the future if the ACC is looking to stay in FL if their schools get poached. Taking USF off the board I guess.
  17. For sure if given the choice they would. Fully understand that. I just remember hearing from WVU fans in the past that weren't happy with their travel burden, back when they were on an island.
  18. It's the impact on all the sports teams that I'm thinking of. The basketball teams have two games in a season typically against a conference mate. The other piece is the ease of scheduling for B12 teams coming to FL if they play both schools on one trip.
  19. Looking up WKU (a preview) and the article ended with the fact that they've had the most passing yards in CFB in the last two years. Yikes! But prior to that they really struggled to put up points per the article. With our defense being ranked dead last in Division 1 CFB the previous year, I'm nervous. I just hope we don't get blown out as my fragile psyche can't take it. Can we recapture the swagger that we had before our downfall? It starts with beating teams that are favored over us.
