...USF admin is telling us that we won't need more than 35,000 seats? We have announced crowds larger than this at times at Raymond James, far from campus and while sucking. What happens if we are actually sustainably good and have the run of a lifetime...every game will be sold out and we'll be keeping potential new fans out of the stadium. I certainly don't think we need to bloat the stadium with 50k+ right now because it'll definitely look half-full for some time, but the options we are left with are to force an immediate second construction project for expansion OR not have enough seats for the growing fan base... My take is that the original build needs to be around 42,000 with expansion possible to 55,000.
This is the part where I remind everyone that announced crowds, especially in larger capacity stadiums, are utter BS and should be given no credibility. The proposed stadium capacity of the OCS is the ultimate lie detector.

But they do give us a 0.4% chance of winning out, 84% chance of 6 wins, and 2.9% chance of winning the conference.
Cue the there's a chance gif.
Wow that algorithm is garbage. My algorithm says 80% chance of 8 wins, 40% chance of winning the conference, 15% chance of winning out.

This might be like hiring a sad sack team for homecoming only to find out they’re no longer a sad sack and you ruin your homecoming. Sorry kids.

I tried to find their record in these games, but could not. Not marked on their schedules either. I hope it makes Dilfer extra emotionally erratic. I like it!
I heard on a podcast yesterday 6-1 or 5-1. About to be X-2 though. Unfortunately for them, they selected the wrong team this year.

Really scared. That 1 win they have over NC A&T was truly impressive. Considering that win and this being a classic trap game the week before playing juggernaut and long term rival FAU, no chance the Bulls can win.

98% chance. We only play 1 remaining team that is .500 or better at the moment.

Seems kind of awesome to me that a bunch of news rags were there live to cover UCF suffer one of the worst collapses in college football history.

I think the ultimate criteria is regional interest in the school and its football team. Regardless of manner in which they broadcast the game, they want eyeballs more than anything. USF needs to get to the point where folks don’t have to ask which sports bar in the area is actually showing the hometown football game.

I missed it, why wasn’t that his position all along?

When they can predict the weather accurately 2-5 days out, then I'll trust them to predict whether a certain county vs. another will experience 72 vs 74 days of 100+ real feel temperatures 30 years from now. I'm certain reports from 30 years ago said parts of coastal Florida would be underwater by 2023 yet there have been no changes in water level. It was "The Next Ice Age" in the 1970s and now it's "Extreme Heat". They weren't correct back then but I'm sure this time is Different. It's just a matter of kicking the can down the road and collecting the research money along the way.
The fact that millions of people are apparently incapable of coming to this common sense conclusion for themselves is astounding.

Nice. I think this shirt just eclipsed anything produced by a certain company supposedly making pro-USF apparel.

Not at the game but this shouldn’t be a surprise. USF doomers once again predicting the unpredictable: barely anyone cares about playing a team called Rice or UAB or UNT or UNCC or the other scrubs in this conference.
The most immediate problem is that for USF to make a legit case to not play these teams, we have to not only win but dominate these games.

Probably a better example is Bevo the Longhorn for Texas. Doesn’t run on the field. Pretty much stays in the Bullpen while chewing on grass..
Eh, kind of weak. I want to see it do a lap around the stadium, then it can go stuff its face. Earn your keep.

100% yes.
Doesn’t one of the schools out west run out with a Buffalo or bison?

Although that rating is more AL than USF, great showing to a large audience. USF starting to turn some heads. Just a YouTuber covering the AAC but USF getting love at 4:25.

After this weekend’s game, I hope the stadium is designed to be one of the most inhospitable places for visiting teams to play in the country. Designed for maximum crowd noise, visiting side in max sun, etc.

Honestly, after all the hemming and hawing about renderings, I would find it hilariously entertaining if they finally put out the renderings and the stadium looks exactly like that
I watched a YouTube commentator covering the various stadium proposals at the Florida schools. When he got to USF he showed that picture and commented, thinking it was the design.

Disagreed with a couple of the calls others have pointed out, but endorse the aggressiveness and mentality.
I like what I’m seeing from this team and coach. I don’t think the rain delay did USF any favors but they came back out and immediately returned to form.

It is a possibility that we go right back, but it's another possibility that this team is better than last year.
That's what's oddly compelling about the Rice game.
Yeah I do think this team is better. I was referring to attendance being back to business as usual. There will be a low ceiling on enthusiasm for AAC wins.
With that said, I was pleasantly surprised with how our OOC schedule looks in the next few years. -
Absolutely an awesome game experience and definitely helped the USF cause BUT let’s be realistic, that game and environment was because of who we were playing. Until we play known and respected opponents weekly, any carryover will likely be short lived IMO.
Also, to no one’s surprise, I don’t buy the attendance figure/sellout claims. Best turnout in may be a decade, but that third level wasn’t close to being filled. Even rows around us in 108 had plenty of open seats, and that was with no one checking tickets.

It’s definitely a concern. I thought Brown looked timid from the jump and he’s been inaccurate most of the year. Yes he does run well but not Flowers well so there’s a ceiling to what he can do there. It’s hard to know if it’s Brown or the WRs who seem to be mostly non existent except for Atkins underneath.

There are victories beyond moral victories? That being said he is dead wrong, todays loss is better than last weeks nail biter victory, competition matters and that’s why they is no such thing as an aac victory (to play the games is to have lost). I regret having not gone to the game today and there is absolutely nothing that can happen against an aac team that would make me feel that way.
I hear ya. I regret not going to last years Gators game. Tonight, despite the outcome, was very memorable. It should be a reminder to everyone that the ONLY goal is to get a seat at the “haves” table by any means necessary.

Correct but this is a new crew.
Completely agree and this doesn’t feel like last year. This team punches back. No AL fan was waking out proud tonight…as it should be.

Unfortunate result but awesome game, awesome experience live. Key will be taking this performance forward. Last year USF blew their load with the gator game and fizzle out after.
Important OCS Update

My hope for the OCS is simply to make it as an uninviting place as possible to play for opposing teams. Design for maximum crowd noise (like Seattle - 12th man loud), shade for home side visitors in the sun, opposing teams band and fans get the corner nose bleeds, etc.
