Tickets came in the mail today. Pumped. Gonna tailgate right on the 50 yard line IN the stadium right next to Jonathan the Husky.
I do not know when the cut-off was, but if you ordered your tickets after the cut-off, they will not be mailed to you. Those tickets will be made available 90-minutes before the game by gate D at the stadium (there will be a USF booth).

LOL...I wasn't trying to put any spin on it. Just stating facts. We gained 10 vote points, but actually lost ground to #19. I'm glad that we didn't drop and so long as we keep winning (and look decent in the process) we will keep moving up. Teams that lose will continue to drop below us for the first 4 or 5 weeks.
I gotcha...just made me laugh when I read it!

We moved up a spot, gaining 10 vote points (up to 257), but we are substantially behind #19 Kansas State (434). The vote point difference almost doubled.
One of the best "glass half-empty" posts I've seen!!!

Moved up 1 spot to #20!

One way would be for those going from the board to exchange cell phone numbers via PM's ..... if everyone is cool with that
We should also develop a super secret BullsPen handshake!

I will get there around 10:00. Any way to identify fellow Bullpenners. Would be nice to put a face to the handle.
Anyone interested in meeting up either at the tailgate or otherwise, PM me and I will send my phone number.
I plan to get to the tailgate between 9:30-9:45.

Wow! Run, run, pass. Run, run pass. I've seen that before!

I could be wrong, but I believe the coaches were really underplaying these first two games... because they could. USF's 2nd string could have won these games.
U Conn will be the same way... the offense and defense are going to do what they have to do, but not a heck of a lot more. Why would the coaches "underplay" the first two games? This isn't pro football, all games count! We are the #19 team in the country. By some polls, our first nine opponents are not in the top 100. Where is the benefit of squeaking by with a W, but we kept our playbook a secret? Why not use all our plays in the first two games so that our offense is a well oiled machine by conference play?
My point on this whole topic is that I do not think Gilbert is "underplaying" or not opening up the playbook. I think we have seen the playbook and it is a power run offense. My only hope is that Gilbert has now learned that it will not work and make the needed adjustment, much like CWT finally did.
That being said, I do think we put 50 on UCONN and win by 21!

He didn't call them because he didn't have to.
I am agreeing with @Bulls On Parade here... Gilbert used these first two games much the same way the NFL uses actual pre-season games. Trying things... testing things out... seeing what works. In the end, the team did what it needed to do.
Let's not kid ourselves here. Just a couple of days ago, we had an FCS team, deep in the 4th quarter, driving on us to tie the game. It took an interception by our DEFENSE to seal the game.

I'm wondering if strong has been holding back the last two weeks to not tip his hand against stony brook and sjsu. The first drive against uconn will be the most telling sign as this is our first glance at a conference foe. If the offense starts with 2 runs up the middle before a pass then all teams will know to stack up out of the gate. I'm hopefull he calls a play action or jet sweep or anything other than a run right up the middle.
Over and over again, I keep reading about how Gilbert might be holding back the playbook until we get into conference play. We are ranked #19 in the country and in some polls our first nine teams are ranked out of the top 100! Do we really need to be conservative with an FCS team so that UCONN doesn't learn our secrets?!?!
I believe we have seen the playbook already and it is a power run offense. Let's just hope CCS is willing to make the needed adjustments, much like CWT finally did.

Polls and rankings do matter to recruits and commits. Staying ranked helps when our coaches are on the recruiting trail.

If trust is the issue, can the players and coaches do this Monday and then get back to playing real football!?!?!

Still scheduled for 4:05.

Signed up four of us for the tailgate. See you guys in a few weeks!!!

While these kids may not become superstars at Oregon, it does start to pave the Florida to Oregon pipeline for Taggart.

I was a senior when Dobras & Shahid led us to the Big Dance, losing to Arizona in the first round. Those 2 were fun to watch, and Dobras was a fellow biz major, so saw him in classes frequently. Good times. Hope he's ok.
Same here! We road tripped to Birmingham for the Sunbelt Championship game. Great memories from that team!

If there are extra scholarships, typically CCS would offer them to current non-scholarship players (likely Juniors/Seniors).
-
Now the fun starts! Who will Strong bring on staff and which recruits will follow him to USF?

I heard that since we've sucked for the first 30-minutes of our games, Strong got them to skip that part and we will now go at 7:30!
