  1. Will be interesting to see if the NCAA violations are cause for termination thus leaving USF largely off the hook for the remainder of his contract.  Antigua was in Year 3 of a five-year deal that paid roughly $900,000 annually with $25,000 yearly escalators built in. If terminated for cause (i.e. NCAA violations), the school would owe him only one month of his $375,000 annual base salary, according to his contract. If fired without cause, it owes him the annual base salary until the contract's expiration. (www.tampabay.com)

  2. In the new Strong football era let's keep the momentum and excitement of our new coach and new athletic and academic trajectory.   USF is headed in an exciting direction these days.  Top 25 women's hoops, 10 win football season with a top 25 ranking as well as a formidable medical school winning the state battle for highest quality entering freshman medical students this year.  This coupled with a new state academic tier and a new and even more exciting year of football team next year.   Remember this year end  to give a donation, large or small to USF.  A gentle reminder that your donation is TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  It's sounds trite, but it all matters.  Do your part be it large or small.  Here's how!

  3. re: Official DC search thread(Posted on 12/24/15 at 10:33 am to RockyMtnTigerWDE)
I just read Phillip Marshall's DC Update.

**He said Chad Kelly turned us down
    (obviously).

**There were serious discussions between Auburn and Penn State DC Bob Shop but in the end he stayed.

**Mutual interest between Malzahn and Todd Grantham

**Rumblings that Paul Rhodes could be a person of interest, but nothing more than talk right now.

**On USF DC Tom Allen...Many thought he would be named DC soon after USFs game. The fact that didn't happen and still hasn't is likely telling that Gus hasn't made a decision or is going in another direction.

**Gus wants to name a DC by January 8th.

**If Tom Allen isn't named DC soon then tune into the Louisville / Texas A&M game Wednesday and watch Grantham

  4. Just conjecture here, but two diehard Auburn fans, guys I grew up with called Auburn, and I quote, "one match away from a dumpster fire".  The fan base is 'fed up' with underperformance and  it seems most believe if 2016 is a repeat performance of 2015 then the entire staff likely will get wiped out on both sides of the ball.  Again, just conjecture, but something to consider is that should AU underperform next year Allen could be looking for a new job during Christmas in 2016. This was an interesting perspective from AU fans and perhaps could be an influence on taking a job with Auburn considering the current atmosphere there.  Myself, Id take the risk.

  5. I did the same thing. Not to get into a competition, but I like that a disadvantaged child is going to a game that they probably would not have been able to go to. At the same time I will also buy one more ticket for the Wounded Warrior program.

NEB- you're a respected Bull, to be sure.  I love the idea of the disadvantaged child receiving such a nice gift too- really, well done.  thank you!!

  6. Wish I would have known about the Wounded Warrior donation when I bought my tickets. Already promised to donate my 4 to the Boys and Girls Club of Miami just as I do for my season tickets at the Boys and Girls Club of Tampa. May buy a couple more to donate to the Wounded Warrior Program through USF as well as it's a really good cause.

You are a great person to worry about such things......

  7. Welcome to the board.  They must be pushing some tickets out the door today.

Thanks KB- I appreciate the greeting.  Long time Bull here. Undergrad class of 1995, med class 2001 now living in Boston. Attended first game ever, as well as both FSU and Auburn games in person and many others.  Ive traveled to several UCONN games as well locally.  Ive read the board for a long long time and was doing my best to get to Miami, however, this fell through unfortunately.  Thanks for the great welcome.  I, like many here have the heart of a bull.  Bought and donated 2 tickets today in support.

Travel safe everyone in the coming week.

  8. The USF ticket office representative  told me today 'we have almost sold through the entire initial allotment' when I ordered my two tickets today around 11am.   Perhaps it was an embellishment, however, he went further to suggest they expected them to be 'completely sold out' well before the game.  I never know whether this is a ploy to demonstrate support by the ticket agents, however, we'll soon tell.

  9. I live in Boston and had planned to attend the Miami Beach Bowl, however, to my dismay, was told today by my boss that being off Monday for the game was not an option.  I bought two tickets through the ticket office and to my surprise the ticket office will donate your tickets directly to the Wounded Warrior program.  Also, good news, as of this morning around 11am, USF had almost sold out of their original allotment according to the USF ticket agent I spoke with....

    GO BULLS!
