  1. The jump from 2 to 4 wins was due to level of competition decreasing guys... instead of playing rutgers, we got tulsa, and SMU fell apart for a free win and we actually won our FCS game. We didnt really improve guys

I disagree... we held our own against Wisconsin until a couple Melvin Gordon 2nd half runs.... We were beating ECU (who were leading the conference at the time) in the 3rd quarter, and could have won that game if not for 2-holding-penalties-in-2-plays..

Yes, we got blown out by NC State and shut out by UCF...

However, we were the youngest team in FBS last season... a lot of true freshmen were playing FBS football one year after graduating high school... that is a big jump to make and be consistent.

Also, I will point out that our competition is actually a little worse this year (even FSU will take a step backward)... Out of the 12 games... none of them are "harder" than last year...

Plus we have more talented players arriving on campus...

When you factor all of this in, five ins are easy.... seven wins are entirely possible... and I would say USF can even win nine games (if the OL plays the way I think it will).

If youre counting close losses as an indicater, our 2 win season we played michigan state semi close until we didnt. We played WORSE against UCF.. and played a worse FCS opponent which is probably why we won. I really think if we opened against 2013s mcneese st tesm last year, we still would have lost
  2. From what I've seen. Mack, both Bronsons, Godwin, Calloway, Harris, Byrd. There are a lot of players we haven't seen yet. I don't see anybody from the o line getting drafted unless your talking people a haven't seen yet like Gibbons or Bethel.

Im sorry but did you mean Nate Godwin? Sorry, there are about 15 players on this team better than him. Hes strong, but his ball skills / coverage need serious work
  3. Both are miles ahead of flowers, and at least bench shows flashes of promise, but goes into lulls when hes really counted on. My advice, push VERY hard to get one of these guys. If yourevTaggart, your job might depend on it. He needs 6 wins, and it isnt happening with flowers or bench

Both guys have to sit out a year per transfer rules this year anyways, so we're stuck with Flowers or Bench this year.

youre right, that completely slipped my mind. We are screwed
  4. How could ANYONE pick football? Throw baseball out of it (which is actually what I picked) and just compare football and basketball. Football only picks the top 4 teams, and with our conference we could EASILY go undefeated and still not get picked. Basketball lets 66 or 67 teams in. I think those are better odds.

it says NCAA tournament / BOWL GAME. 6 football wins gets you qualified so thats easier than the basketball tourney. I think the more level question is bowl game or NIT tournament, and for that, id say basketball. Orlando Antigua has the team looking different from top to bottom with actual talent. I dont think Taggart knows what to do with talent, especially at QB.
  5. Y'all should be more welcoming of new members, even if you don't like the message.

Shut up brad. I like people to speak their mind, it shows that they have sone cajones

I call BS on this guy being new here. He's far too sophisticated to be a noob. This is a returnee or a second account by an existing member or some such

    It's probably Bear's 3rd TBP identity.
now you did it....all your posts are going to be down voted multiple times :D
No i used to follow CoolMcBull on the daily graze but the comment section on my phone never works. Im just a bulls fan who loves my team
  6. The only reason I feel an ounce of hope in this season is Mark Harlan. I have no confirmation of this but I've made up in my head that he told Taggart how awful of a job he was doing and that his gimmicks are gone and in comes Tom Allen and Tomey and a simpler offense because we GOTTA WIN THE **** FOOTBALL GAMES that are on the schedule. And we won 8 games in the 2015 season and I was excited again.

I agree that Harlan brought in the coordinators to call the offense and defense while taggart makes personnel decisions and recruits only. Its a lot cheaper than firing him

I sincerely doubt that Harlan chose any personnel ..... except for that old guy.

He chose baseball coach Mark Kingston AND DC Tom Allen. That was not Taggart
