  1. If he wasn't carrying drugs to begin with them he wouldn't have to worry about the difference. Instead of making excuses how about taking some responsibility. Illegal drug posession is, wait for it - illegal. Either follow the rules that society has agreed to or go move somewhere where you can go smoke your weed, make it with a goat or whatever else you want to do that's illegal here.

Just follow the rules. They are generally in place to HELP you.

Who does it help to put people in jail for having some pills? If its prescribed to some people, why not everybody. I am pretty disgusted in the fact that a supposed free country picks and chooses people that can use certain substances legally, but for other people using the SAME EXACT THING get a felony charge. Its mind numbingly stupid. We as a country need to stop prying into everybodys lives as long as they arent hurting anybody. Hes a football player going to college. I dont care if he has pills, and in my eyes, is doing what hes supposed to be doing

  2. Higgins is not very good. Got beat twice on that drive

first off its hoggins. Secondly, Sutton is the best WR in this game, and he was with him step for step and was thrown to perfectly. He slipped. As long as he doesnt make a habbit out of falling like that, i would be fine with that as a coach. As far as im concerned, even an NFL corner would have a tough time defending that pass.

  3. Not race baiting. Its human nature. I would understand it in the NFL. Black QB's dont win championships in the NFL. In College its a different story. I am a 27 year old White Republican by the way. Just calling it like I see it.

Let me know when flowers gets USF to #2 in the country. Then we can talk about why everybody misses Grothe, and not the guy who pretty much lost his first game against winless SMU, and a bad Maryland team. Youre an idiot. Do you even believe what youre saying?

  4. Wow i just realized that i won the florida state prediction contest haha thats awesome. Sorry for picking against the bulls guys, but we need a quarterback pretty badly. Until we get improvement from the position, its going to be tough for us to win. But i love our defense and i think we will play hard against a top 3 team in the conference.

    1. Memphis

    2. 24-14

    3. Johnson

    4. Adams

    5. 268

Did I just win again?? I think I did lmao I need to start doing this every week, as well as become a Vegas better! I promise I am not Marty McFly with a sports almanac! Or am I?

  5. I must admit, I was a huge fan of this hire and had full faith in Tags getting this ship righted. However, I can no longer sit and watch this horrible offense as I find my self shouting my displeasure to anyone who can hear me At the stadium.

The offensive play calling needs to be turned over and faith be out in his assistants. Florida showed last night that you can accomplish just about anything but you have to trust everyone on that team. Their OC called a perfect game and it was executed just like it was drawn up.

i don't feel that Tags needs to be canned but he def needs to realize he can't efficiently call plays to produce points and with the talent we have, we should've put up 40 on Friday night against that terrible defense.

Defense played lights out and those who made bad plays like Danchez did on that TD, they owned up for their mistakes and seemed to come together and put the next play in front of them.

Let's get this figured out and out some wins together and show people USF can compete.

The most encouraging real quote there is out there. USF can easily be corrected and turned around. This isn't a rebuilding project. I can easily see someone next year coaching up Asiantii Woulard, Marlon Mack, Dillon, Adams, Johnson, Barr, McCants, (Sorry Bronson, I don't like you) and the always awesome defense into a 9 win team. Lets just get an offensive coordinator who can run the offense without Taggart touching it.

  6. Taggart will get things turned around. Even though we lost to Memphis, the team did bounce back from the Maryland game and showed a lot of improvement. Tom Allen's defense showed a lot of improvement Friday. Remember Memphis was averaging over 50 points a game. These close games will turn into victories with continued hard work by staff and players.

Taggart will get things turned around? You are saying that with a prayer and as a fan, because I can promise nothing on the field has made you actually believe that. Taggart is a horrible coach, good recruiter. And this is coming from someone who WANTED to believe in him before this season when many had no faith

  7. This is a great assessment. But i think Tulane is the worst of the conference by far, and im surprised by how many power rankings dont have them there at the bottom. Im ready to put my money on UCF beating Tulane this week. Also something I noticed was that USF by far has the hardest SoS in the conference. Each team plays their own division, and two from the other division. USF imo is in the deeper division, while also playing two of the three good teams in the west, and 3 P5 teams.

  8. This ranking is based on who I personally think would fare the best in a bowl game to represent the conference. Not necessarily who has the best resume or who has the best record.

    1. Houston 3-0 I have said all along, I just want to see Greg Ward be a QB, and not be a converted WR. Well he is proving to be a Michael Vick in his prime out there, and this team can put up points with a serviceable defense. Easily my pick to win the AAC this year.

    2. Memphis 4-0 I hesitate putting them here, due to a blown call essentially giving them the win against Cincinnati. Still, the nation's third longest active winning streak in FBS at 11 (behind only Ohio St's 15 and TCU's 13) should be respected. (No clue how they are not ranked)

    3. Navy 3-0 Keenan Reynolds has put this team on his shoulders while only throwing 17 passing attempts in 3 games. But who needs to throw it when him and the 'Swain Train' are averaging 5.5 yards per rush?

    4. Temple 3-0 I hate to penalize a team for winning, especially when they played so well down the stretch to pull it off, but is pulling off a late game win against UMass impressive? For a team who has undefeated aspirations, they will need to beat Notre Dame, a team who just put up 62 on UMass.

    5. Cincinnati 2-2 Watching their freshman QB Hayden Moore go out and hang 550 passing yards in less than a full game makes me cry, when it takes a full on miracle for a USF QB to eclipse the 100 yard mark. Like I said earlier, a blown call ruined this team's probable win in Memphis. While I still love me some Cincy, it is hard to be overly confident in a team who has only beat the bad Alabama and Miami teams.

    6. Tulsa 2-1 My first surprise of the power rankings, and its at #6 with Tulsa! I don't think anybody right now can hold this team under 40 points, as they just proved it vs Oklahoma, but coming up short. QB Dane Evans is averaging 392 passing yards per game.

    7. East Carolina 2-2 It is difficult to grade a team out when a new QB comes in and sparks the offense. Does Summers come in next week and provide the same spark? Either way, it was a great win over Virginia Tech, and their new QB will have a chance to prove his value next week against SMU.

    8. UConn 2-2 Was hard giving the edge to UConn over USF. They are both build in similar ways and starts with the defense. USF gets the edge in the front 7, while UConn gets the edge in the secondary. But offensively, UConn finally has a serviceable QB this year in Bryant Shirreffs who has the 6th best passing efficiency in the conference (Flowers at 10th) and has thrown for almost 3 times as many yards in only one more game.

    9. USF 1-2 Do I have to talk about USF? No, no thanks. It is too depressing. Lets just go get a new coach already.

    10. SMU 1-3 This is the one team I am going to tell TBP I told you so. Everybody wanted to crown SMU as being MUCH improved after scoring points against Baylor and TCU, and to that, I will say YES, they have improved. But improvement from a 1 win team last year isn't saying much. Don't get me wrong, Matt Davis is an electric QB who is actually leading the conference in rushing yards (granted SMU has played one more game than most of the competing leading rushers), but their o line got pushed around by FCS James Madison ala McCheese style vs USF. Not to mention they generate ZERO pass rush, with only 5 sacks in 4 games.

    11. UCF 0-4 There is no explaining the collapse of the Knights. After week one, I said once they find a running game, they will be fine. Now with Justin Holman out, they can't pass the ball either. The team is a mess. A decisively bigger one than USF in my opinion.

    12. Tulane 1-2 The worst idea for a conference addition ever, gets to prove this week that they are worth something more than the AAC cellar dweller by playing UCF. Prediction : Both team jerseys will be brown by the end of this one, with UCiF pulling out a squeaker 4 to 3

  9. SMU is losing at home to James Madison at half time. Lets be real guys, they weren't really close to beating TCU or Baylor. They scored some points. They have ZERO defense to speak of. USF has ZERO offense to speak of. But I still believe in our defense and UConn beat freaking Army and Villanova. Get off their bandwagon. Even USF played well against a top 10 team for one half. And yes I know ECU just beat VT, but they are wildly inconsistent, unless this new RB Summers is for real, because their last RB Chris Hairstrom was crap.

  11. I say you must give Taggart this year and the next for five reasons:

    1. If you fire him this year, no coach of any quality will want to come here.

    2. The transfers that have decided to return after committing to other schools will change their minds. (Asianti included)

    3. The starters we have now (for the most part) are Skippy's recruits.

    4. We have had the best recruiting classes within the conference that last two years. Primarily due to WT's recruiting.

And number 5. The previous posts showed the number of coaches we still have on our payroll. We can't afford another!

    Patience...grasshopper!

    Skippys recruits??? who
Exactly, the only ones are the o linemen Thor, Gudmundsson, and Djulbegovic. Whitehurst is too, but hes not even starting
