  1. People (read: FSU apologists) are complaining that the incident occurred 17 days ago, and no charges have been filed (inferring it likely didn't occur). Tally police (and FSU) have built a rep of turning a blind eye on these type of things...bringing it up, only if the new breaks. I'm betting Cook plays v us, but does sit out against Texas St. That's how Jimbo rolls. If jimbo wanted to sit him out for the cupcake game, would he play against Texas State and sit against usf?
  2. Wow, now your moving threads on this board in an effort to hide the topic. How sad but very enjoyable to this UCF fan.
  3. The hours and hours of enjoyment it has provided is much appreciated. It's hard to name favorites but I would have to go with Jimusf's our athletic department is better argument. Poor Jim actually thinks Women's basketball or Mens soccer from years past has any meaning in this equation. Jim, here is what is meant by athletic department; fan base, facilities, leadership and forecast. The Big 12 does not care about basketball, if they did UCONN would be a lock. This is a football decision, TCU has not been to the NCAA tournament in 17 years, it didn't hurt their entry into the Big 12. There is one thing you don't mention, the Presidents of the schools. Good luck with yours.
  4. agreed but as I'm sure you would say, it's better to on that island than were we are today.
  5. I for one would rather a UCF/USF move because I believe it's good for both but that is not what it sounds like. I can understand if it's only two why cincy would be one due to proximity to wvu.
  6. Everyone feels for the Planchers but there is plenty of personal responsibility to go around. If I read the transcripts right, the brother tested positive for sickle cell as well as the mother. If that is true, they knew most likely that E had it as well. There is not one UCF fan that does not feel for the family. Many of us donated towards the family before the funeral but forgive me for saying $10 million is ridiculous and is nothing more than that pig Yerrid trying to cash in. I wonder if Yerrid thought the women who died in a crash with his son while driving 78 MPH on bay shore was worth $10 million.
  7. Maybe you should listen to the chatter. The talk is a network has stepped up and will guarantee the Big 12 teams the same amount they are getting now plus money for a title game.
  8. Well the chatter is all about UCF and Cincy, today on the XM 91 college station they as well said it will be UCF and Cincy. I will believe when I see it but there is a lot of talk about it.
  9. Of course .... but every minute they spend responding here, or researching meaningless stats about tv ratings, is another safe minute for the little boys in their neighborhood ... and especially so for "Karma" who lives in South Tampa and I have friends with families in that area. So what you're saying is you have friends with family that have achieved much more than you, so sad.
  10. After UCF's Fiesta Bowl win (has USF ever even played in a BCS or Access Bowl?), UCF finished the season ranked #10. Has USF ever beaten Alabama? UCF has. Just like UCF's win over Alabama 15 years ago was when Alabama had one of it's worst teams, USF's wins vs FSU and Miami were when those teams had their worst teams in decades. Here is a number for you...UCF averages over 38,000 attendance per game while USF averages well under 30,000 attendance. This is why you assclowns are relegated to here. Since you brought up the other state, our Auburn win kicks the crap out of your UA win, so trying to use that to negate our in state wins is the height of stupidity .... and as far as your attendance smack, the best run in the history of your football program, conference championships, BCS bowl wins and you still can't sell out, even on paper, that piece of crap stadium on a regular basis?? ..... That is pathetic and I really wouldn't be thumping my chest about it. p And your crap school, fan base and administration is why you will be relegated to the American.
  11. I'd count screwing Plancher's family out of $10 million "moving on." But considering it was covered by every major news outlet, I don't know if he's hiding it here. Did you know Keely Dorsey?
  12. Good job Admin, I'd hide all this stuff here as well. Don't want the USF masses to know that UCF is about to move on.
  13. UCF's campus is really nice if you like parking garages and that shyte-brown brick feel of an office park... Plus it's in the beautiful metropolis of Bithlo Because USF being located in the heart of Temple Terrace is really something so much better than Bithlo... USF is in Tampa, not Temple Terrace and especially not the heart ... Yes, USF is gerrymandered into Tampa city limits while being surrounded by Temple Terrace bordering it on 50th and University bordering it on BBD and Fletcher I think by "surrounded" you mean "is next to." Suitcase city and Nebraska avenue. End of discussion. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=temple+terrace+city+limits+map Sure, 3 sides is not completely surrounded, but USF is a small Tampa Peninsula. Or perhaps an isthmus to the park next to the Claw. You're about 1/3 right on your math. Yes, 1 side is Temple Terrace and 2 sides (technically about 1.8) are University. Tampa city limits extend south of Fowler and catch the North eastern tip of the university (50th and Fletcher) and extend out to the Claw and the park. 3 sides are not Tampa. Nebraska avenue and suitcase city on one side and Temple Terrorist on the other.
  14. the sad thing about it they have no idea what i meant. If it's the big 12 we are talking about than we are talking about travel for fans and teams. Orlando dwarfs Tampa in terms of number of flights, airlines and thus it's cheaper to fly to.
  15. Unless the entire USF campus moves to channelside, USF will always be at a disadvantage.
  16. I like it better when we're not .... the way it was before the BE invite. And as I recall, the name UCF was being bandied about heavily right before USF won the spot... Back then UCF has no basketball arena, no on campus football stadium and no history of conference championships or BCS bowl trophies. As for TV markets, yes Tampa/St Pete is larger than Orlando/Daytona is but even that has closed. 200,000 people separate the two and five spots on the Neilsen rating chart, that used to 12 spots back before USF to the Big East. As you said, these people are smart, Orlando also has a renovated Citrus Bowl that will draw Championship type games that Tampa can't due to the Bucs playing there, Orlando has the hotel rooms, the international destination and a far superior airport. While all that may not mean much for a football game, it helps in other categories. Basically there is no difference between the two markets in terms of advantages, the schools will determine it. If USF thinks AAU status that they don't have will help, good luck. With the UCF medical city, the new tennis complex at the medical city and the far superior campus and all around location, there is not much, if anything USF has over UCF. Can you see what has changed?
  17. I like this part... although USF doesn't sell out... we do have stronger fan attendance in these other sports... and I also like that this site pointed out that UCF ... with an on-campus stadium that ONLY seats 45 000 ... has sold out 9 out of 51 games in eight seasons... one of them was Texas and another was USF's first game there.... Ah Jim, if only any of that mattered. No one cares about any sport but men's basketball and football. UCF has the facilities to compete in both and while the football stadium might be small for the big 12, an addition can be done in a year. Oh and I don't view a sell out against the only big 12 team to play at UCF as a negative. If any of this is real and I doubt it is, it's good to at least be in the conversation.
  18. The red flag for USF fans should be Taggarts constant changing of coordinators. He never seems to take responsibility, changing QB's again gives him yet another excused if things go wrong. White may not have been an a great QB but given time the guy stood in the pocket and threw the ball. USF will take another step back with Flowers at QB but hey, at least the focus won't be on Taggart, you know the guy that spoke about how much of a winner he was at his initial press conference.
  19. Kind of like that head start usf got by getting into a BCS conference and doing nothing with it. Face it, UCF may have had a 20 year head start but considering UCF has made every mistake along the way that a football program could and still has accomplished more in one year than usf has accomplished in its entire program, I'd say UCF is going just fine. By the way, congrats on the new head football coach, I just thought I would be the first one to say it this year.
  20. Jupiter, how would any usf know what happened at the UCF game last year! It's not like any usf fan saw a game past the third quarter last year.
