Daniels is the starter. He has a full year of Big East experience. He was a huge part of the offense last year. One scrimmage isn't going to change that. Holtz has joked that if he knows nothing else, it's that Daniels is a starter. Daniels would have to play poorly in games -- multiple games -- to prompt any kind of full-time change at the position. There's a ton of learning and comprehension involved -- very hard as a true freshman. Gunsby is showing promise and I imagine will get a few mopup series in the early games to have him more game-ready. If Daniels went down, they'd move Landi over from receiver.

I bet that's what is taking so longI'm interested in seeing the outcomes from the battle at MLB with Barrington being held out mostly with the shoulder injury. And our number 2-4 WR's, and even our battles in the secondary. Think those are what we all should be focusing on.
