We need to relax a little...I know the season is close at hand and we are getting the itch, but there are a lot of other guys fighting for more key spots (WR, RB, LB, K, etc). I bet that's what is taking so longI'm interested in seeing the outcomes from the battle at MLB with Barrington being held out mostly with the shoulder injury. And our number 2-4 WR's, and even our battles in the secondary. Think those are what we all should be focusing on.It's definitely interesting to see what's going to happen with guys like Barrington, Raymond, Knowles, etc. Lots of decisions to be made..

I don't think his job is in question, other than where he'll line up. I think the receivers are starting to shake out, too -- Bogan and Landi are starters, and I think Lamar would be the third guy right now. Knowles and Virgin are probably next in line, with one of the smaller guys like Hopkins or Hornes probably next, unless Holtz makes the decision to put Welch out there this fall.

IMO the delay in the depth chart being released will only add to the speculation at QB.A guy my brother knows who went to UCF has a cousin that knows a guy that worked at Dodgertown in the 80's, but he still talks to this chick that is in the front office of the Rays but has a nephew that serves in a restaurant in Vero and he heard that someone said BJ was out as QB. CSH does not want to release the depth chart and break his spirit, but Bonani threw a ball back to the long snapper last night and it was a perfect spiral and now he will be starting QB.

McGeoghan has talked about him being someone who has to step up, but I still think of him as being in that third tier, kinda 7th-9th at the position. Wouldn't surprise me if he stepped up in the first four games, but he hasn't shown that much so far ...

I dont think anyone is dumb enough to say that. Although Gunsby did look sharper then Daniels by a mile in the scrimmage, but we all know Daniels will be the starter.

I didn't say anything about who should/would be # 1 at QB. I was stating an opinion based on the fact that the specualtion was already rampant on this board. Again, just to be clear, I did not say anything about who would/should the starter at QB. I've been watching this game long enough to know (as has been stated) that the most popular player on the team is the back-up QB.

Gunsby has shown promise, but that's still a far cry from the level of familiarity and consistency needed to unseat a starting quarterback.
