I am impressed at the aggressive nature of USF.  For those who have watch Leavitt coaches recruit, do you see a difference in Holtz vs Leavitt?  What specifically do you see?

I don't have enough history watching our recruiting process.

I think Holtz is offering many more players, not only in Florida but other states as well. He seems to be casting a wider net than we have in the past.

Mama_Bull, do you think that will help our program. I know it is too early to tell, but I large net catches more fish.  My perspective is that it will get the attention of those schools who the player play for and it is part of PR campaign.  The more people know about our program the better.

For example, Ray Drew a DE from Thomasville GA is a 5 star prospect.  We don't get him because he chooses Alabama, but talks to someone on his team and says, he South Florida offered me I saw the school and it is an up and coming program.  Maybe that player he talked to is also being offered and decides to visit our school.

I was sold when I meet Holtz.

Holtz landed one of his teammates, Reshard cliett, this past signing day. Cliett may have told Drew about USF.

I believe, Drew took an unofficial visit to USF recently.

I think, Holtz is used to recruiting other places than just Florida and has broader contacts around the country.

We are focusing much more on Georgia this year. Looks like Holtz is trying to create a real pipeline.

Two Teammates from Griffin HS, Griffin Ga supposedly have USF on top of their lists. There are a number of other very good players at that school who will be signing with teams from BCS conferences. Hopefully, if we get these two now, more will soon follow.

Willie Davis - RB, USF Commit, Stephenson HS Stone Mountain, GA is from a recruiting hot spot, halfway between Atlanta and Athens. We will do really well is we can develop a recruiting base From Gwinnett county, GA and the rest of Atlanta's suburbs. Real football country and the closest biggest city to Tampa. A lot of those GA boys like coming to a FL college.

Yep.

I was surprised his OL teammate chose UCF over USF. Perhaps, early playing time attracted him to them. Stephenson HS has some other prospects as well.

WR Nile Daniel supposedly just gave a verbal to Kentucky, according to CDowlar on Twitter.

Why would you go to the doormat of the SEC?

I think it had something to do with his grandmother having a "vision." NO KIDDING!

We've had something like that happen before, both for and against us in recruiting.
