I can't find a link online to it but in Sunday's Tampa Tribune sport section the cover story was about the top 20 most entertaining athletes in Tampa Bay history.

Charlie Bradley was #6 and Matt Grothe was #15

There are many others deserving of being on that list for "entertaining" Tampa Bay athletes.  Univ. of Tampa All-American and NFL All-Pro John Matuszak sure comes to mind as an "entertaining" Tampa athlete!  He was funny in movies too.

I guess it all hinges on the definition of "entertaining" ... more like entertaining/exciting, maybe ... which should still probably include The Tooz, moreso than LeeRoy or Boggs.

That's a space filler with no name attached.

Pretty weak list, but nice to include a couple Bulls although those two wouldn't be on my list as the most entertaining I ever saw.

I would put Rowdies Wes McCloud, Perry Van Der Beck or even Winston DuBose on the list instead of Valderama.  As much as Crawford has meant to the Rays, I think Sapp and Brooks would have rate higher.

actually, in the paper it says complied by Joey Johnston.

and i think it was more than just a 'space filler".

I think the purpose was to bring more attention to just how great Carl Crawford is and give people in Tampa Bay atleast a few more months to enjoy him before he leaves for more money (which I still hope won't happen but I'd say its about 95% at this point)

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
