Overall it was not over rated, just not as top loaded as last year.  You play the wrong team on the wrong day in the NCAA Tourny you go home, no matter what conference you are from.

Wait til tomorrow. Those are our best teams (Cuse, WVU). Pitt played well.

#1 overall seed Kansas is done. Were they overrated.

You gotta play and win the games before you.

Kansas was totally whooping it up after Villanova lost to St. Mary's. That didn't last long.

I have to agree with this one.  I was thinking that over the past few days with all of the upsets.  We thought we had a magical season, and it was good, but the BE is not as good this year as it was last year.  We did well, as we were playing softer teams - we just didn't know it at the time.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad we had a solid winning season and went to the NIT, that was huge.  Just thinking now taht we looked better than we probably were.  We were bounced out first game at home in the NIT, so that should put it all in perspective.

2 of our better teams lost to St. Mary's and Ohio.....

Louisville out in Rd. 1 ND out in Round 1....

Marquette loses to Washington in first Round.....

in the Sweet 16 we have  teams at most......

The in the NIT USF, St. Johns, and Seton Hall were 1 and done.....

THUS THE BIG EAST WAS OVERRATED

Big 12 was overrated.  Big East is the best bball conf in america its the way of the NCAA crazy things happen. Big 12 is still a great conf and so is the Big East.

Conferences don't play games, teams do.

As a whole, the Big East was the best conference in college basketball.  One game does not destroy a conference, nor make it.

Kansas loses to UNI; Big 12 overrated?

Vandy losses to Murray St.  SEC overrated?

What about all these great A10 teams?

Was the Big East under-rated when the put all those teams in the Elite Eight or Final Four? I think the answer is that the Big East is a strong conference, one of the strongest in America...does that mean teams can't lose? Of course not. The law of averages works both ways. It's very unlikely to have all these Big East teams lose, and if you follow the NCAA tournament long enough you will find that it's also unlikely to have all the "favorites" go as far as their seeding would indicate.
