Maybe we can find another inaugural bowl game against a mid-major instead?

Even playing like the way we did last night, we still don't lost to UCF.

I disagree.  We would have lost to UCF last night.  They had an abysmal offense last year and they took us to overtime.  Their offense is much improved from last year and their front 7 is good enough to give us a decent game in a bowl.

Miami has way more talent.  I'm not hopeful.  But, yes, a win there makes it a successful season regardless.  (But a loss to UCiF would surely diminish the shine.)

Yeah, but it's out of conference. Beside Oregon, the team has performed and been prepared for these games the last couple of seasons.

From the start of this season I posted that my expectations are low for this year and if we beat FSU, Miami, Rutgers and UConn I would be happy... right now I'm 1-1 on my list.

If we can turn this train wreck around and beat Miami and UConn (I'm not counting LV because there is no excuse for losing to them) then I'd be happy with this season even if we end up back in the St. Pete Bowl against UCiF.

I disagree as well... if we were to play UCiF the way we played Pitt or Rutgers then we'd get blown out.

We NEED a victory against UM now to salvage whatever is left...

We have to have it for recruiting purposes.
