With the current state of the economy essentially destroying my business and the last three years of hardwork, I'm constantly on CNN or Headline News following current events. All day today, besides the bailout, the news was constantly centered around our soon to be hot Mrs. Vice President and the gas shortage down South. So... my question is... for those of you making the 10-hour trek to Raleigh... Got Gas? ???

Isn't this "gas shortage" just something people invented in Atalanta for no reason?

I haven't heard anything about lines for gas anywhere else... and there are lines in Atl just because of a rumor.

People are idiots.

Hey guys.  A couple of stations here in Raleigh are out of gas too (mainly the Sheetz franchises).  With that said, there are plenty of other places to pay $4 a gallon for gas.  So you will not have to walk home.

Depends on the gas company, some have had supplies disrupted when their plants shut down due to Ike, some are back online.

Just hang on for a few more months it will magically fix itself, or will appear to fix itself just in time for Christmas so that we can all spend, spend, spend, and then in January we will get hit again. :'(

We're heading up tomorrow.  Friends that we are staying with haven't mentioned anything about gas shortages.  Never entered my mind.  Thanks for giving me something to worry about besides the weather.  ;)

In rural SC/NC the Mom and Pops are out.

Most of the bigger chains are fine.

Leave Friday in the Ram 1500.

Leaving Friday in the 5.4L V8 F-150 w/ a 5000 watt gas generator in the bed for the tailgate.  I'm carpooling with 3 others..........I do what I can for the environment.
