Just FYI, I believe that Sagarin uses the final 2007 rankings in conjunction with strength of schedule for 2008 games based on those 2007 ratings in order to establish his Bayesian benchmark.  Sagarin ratings are much better after half the season has been played because the Bayesian benchmarks no longer have weight, and teams have played some conference games instead of just the cupcakes.
