It's mentioned here as well.

And USF, according to football spokesman Chris Freet, already has sold approximately 24,000 season tickets  about 4,000 more than it sold all of last season.

Meanwhile, FSU is seeing a 6% decline in ticket sales.

UCF has sold 451 more season tickets than last year at this time.  Well I'm glad that their C-USA championship has helped them in that respect.

Does that number include student season tickets? Those don't really count as a full ticket seeing as they're heavily discounted. I'd be surprised if UCF gets 50% of the income off one of those that they would off a normal season ticket.

So if August is typically our best selling month, what kind of number can we look for to start the season?

25000 - 26000 or so. Which is a very good increase.

They picked up about 3k in aug last year so I would guess 27-28k Very nice increase.

Upper bowl tix will be sold for every game this year.  A nice "new" thing for us.

If we can start out of the gate top 25 in the major polls (coaches/USA, ESPN, SI, etc) I woiuld be surprised if more people don't hop on teh bandwagon early.  I think we will exceed 30k before the first kickoff because people were upset last year when they could not get tix.

My brother drove up from Ft Myers for the WVU game and could not find a ticket under $250 so he sat in the RV and watched the game on satellite.  Which isn't too bad I guess since it was loaded with beer and food, but I know he was dissapointed in not attending the game.
