I'm sure our AD will talk to Grant and some of the others. He's a basketball AD, and he knows what he is doing.

The more time he takes, the better the choice will be, I feel. To be honest, I didn't know if this day would ever happen -basketball being pulled out of the slums of administrative apathy.

He's going to need the speech of his life to get this guy. The could be higher profile jobs available (potentially Kentucky and/or Michigan) where we couldn't match the $$$$ spent on the budget for basketball.

i doubt we get Grant...he isnt dumb.  he knows that one more year at VCU and one more tourney apperance and his next contract goes up by 200,000.

he is young enough that he can wait for the right job to open up.  its a lot harder to get a premier job when you've coached big time college basketball and failed (not to say he would here, but he probably could get a better job next year)

but there is also a different line of thinkings too....some might say...hey if he comes here and turns this program around on a big time stage like the big east then he could have any job he wanted, when it came open.

personally, i think that they are right about the miami job.  next year they might come calling.

Agree.

We must really have a self-confidence problem.  The guy has a good season in a mediocre (at best) conference and we're not good enough for him?  I don't buy it.  Drop the right loot on him and promise him he can have the same same success on a larger stage and I don't see why he'd pass on the opportunity.  

Kentucky is a career killer, ask Tubby.  This guy needs to think about that.  USF would be a nice move, even though he's a stinkin' gator.

I wouldnt say the Colonial is mediocre at best.  Id give them a little more credit than that.  But I agree, i dont see why he wouldnt take this oppurtunity in his home state if we threw money at him and used the BE as a selling point. .  maybe he can get that guy who got the triple double in the Florida All star game to come here instead of VCU as well.  

I say we send the Bulliever over to VCU to give Anthony a talking to.  I will put up the cash for the plane ride, but you guys have to pay for his expenses for I hear he likes to kick back on grandpas old cough medicine and frequents strip clubs for afternoon buffets and champagne rooms.
