if team came out like gangbusters and dominated mcneese game from first play to last

this would do alot to put negative crap behind them while building momentum for 2nd game

Yes, smazza... but you know that Leavitt will put in the backups and switch to an all run play selection even earlier if USF is up big time... he is not Steve Spurrier - he doesn't want to win by 70...

These kinds of games are meant to be tuneups.  Hopefully, we'll have the second string in after about ten minutes, but I'm not that optimistic.

no, sheriff, we are all talking about the mcneese st game here....  8-)

i still say... 34-10...just like FAMU, mcneese st will put up points late on either penalities or turnovers.

our first unit defense will DOMINATE.

An smazza post I can agree with. I am hopeful the defense sets the tone early and that the offense has a good number of time consuming drives.

that has been the approach in the past but i think our first string needs all the game time they can get

more playing      time early will mean first string will catch the ball later in the year, make the key tackle later in the year, more reps for starting qb may mean  he will perform better in later games

if leavitt fails to make adjustments usf will finish season weak again.

you want your football team to finish strong and that means letting starters play alot.aafterall we want them tuned up not back ups.

spurrier has it right.keep playing hard and keep playing to score

i  for one hope leavitt doesnt go into a shell and play his prevent offense(the offense that prevents you from scoring)

Leavitt took his anger out on the media, so maybe he will direct it to MSU ... the better place.

This isn't a push over team ... we have a new RB, potentially a new QB and a O-Line that needs gelling a game time situation. WE NEED REPS !

I don't care if it's a crasy score, the first unit should be in ALL the first half - NO MATTER WHAT ! Except maybe for QB(both maybe) and of course RB, where we only have unprovens. The WR unit is deep so we will see alot of them. And hoping to see passes to the TE position.

Soooo READY FOR KICKOFF !!!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
