Just a thought, but why not a marketing campaign that extenuates our wins over current P5 teams (and a few other of the expansion candidates sprinkled in).  I feel like our history of qualities isn't getting the respect it should, and it shows we can play with the big boys.  I haven't researched closely, but I doubt the other candidates have such a resume.  How about some billboards in Austin, College Station, Norman, Morgantown, etc containing some of this:

The Problem there is that gap from 2011-2015.

Not a problem and opportunity.   You state it like, we are on our way back and like any program in history we are rebuilding.

How do we stack up against other AAC teams (trying to get into the big 12)?

We have far more, but in all fairness, we had a lot more opportunities.

Which is why we should be on the short list.  It should be like alimony - we were used to a standard of living while we were in the Big East, and P5 membership would be like alimony payments.  We're literally one of 3 universities out of everyone in FBS that are worse off than where we were before.

12-16 overall. 2-7 vs Rutgers, 3-7 vs Pitt, 7-2 vs Cuse.

I think he meant take our winning % vs theirs and see how we fair. Wins vs Losses.
