11 players and none of them really did squat except for Soloman. He got rid of dead weight and now the players that WANT to be here and FOLLOW the rules are left. And he took a month to find the RIGHT fit for us and most of us are pretty happy with the hire. You gotta try looking at life as a "Glass half full" my friend. We have a player that runs a 4.3 40yd named McDoom. Remember that name.

you realize he brought in 7 of those 11

Has anyone confirmed that all 11 of those players are gone? I really liked Duran Bell and Elijah Mack and both of their twitter pages still have USF listed (though they haven't posted in a while). Maybe Strong had a change of heart and is giving them another chance...

If accurate... pull the **** trigger! Cut bait! And before 2019! If we (usf) pay this numbnuts $400,000 next year, we need a new AD too.

Does Kinnan have any other GCO disciples? Hell, bring back Reaves. Or promote King (vs Gilbert I dont care if he has no playcalling experience). Anything but “D”ilbert.  The mere thought of Gilbert being here next year makes me fing nauseous.

Bring back Weist and Reaves as co-coordinators and tell Strong to stay away from anything to do with the offense!

    Define "salary"

This article states we would owe him ~$154k if he is fired which would be 20 weeks of salary at an annual base of $400k. But, if he was fired prior to the new year, would it be 20 weeks at his current salary of $100k? That would be only a little over $38k...

Doesn’t Sterlins contract run out at the end of the month? If so, we are probably looking at a non-renewal and Shaun King being promoted internally

The articles that I have read state he has a three year contract and is owed $400k next year. If he is fired, USF would owe him 20 weeks salary.

That's where I worry.  The "play not to lose" strategy comes from the top.  If we somehow put in a high powered offense, will we still punt on 4th and 1 when the game is on the line?  Take a knee before the half without taking a shot?  Them are head coach decisions.

Hopefully he would have more confidence in his offense if it was picking up large chunks of yards regularly and didn't have an OC that calls a run up the middle which everyone in the stadium knows is coming...

He’s the CEO and he’s allowed his offense to be behind the 8 ball schematically for 2 years. How about kneeling on the ball before half and playing not to lose? Continuing to try and corner kick on kick offs knowing we kick it out of bounds like 50% of the time? Awful personnel decisions on his side of the ball.

This is bigger than simply, “well he improved the defense.” He’s the CEO of the football program and many of his departments are failing

Hopefully the past 5 games and him being on the hot seat are wake up calls...I personally would've enjoyed the past 2 seasons much more if we had something that resembled a balls to the wall offense, even if the results were the same as far as wins and losses. This conservative/vanilla offense is not fun to watch and I have not enjoyed watching many games the past two seasons. I've pretty much been overcome with frustration at some point every game knowing that we could be so much better.
