Hell, i'd work out a deal with housing to build/fully renovate the andros residence halls in exchange for like 10-20% of their future revenue from the new place.

I'd pay to replace both skip and woolard, and then i'd even donate to pickup a good AD and new coach. Help pay to finish ongoing projects, maybe a new facility or two.

I'd then open up some sort of new grant for left handed individuals who want to go to USF. Call me crazy, but I'm a minority, dammit!

I'd then pay UCiF to keep o'leary and to suck longer. Lol.

Utah really showed some promise for several seasons. I don't think that beat down on Alabama in the Sugar Bowl in 2008 was no fluke. Looking at them... They've had two undefeated seasons in the past 10 years ('04, '08), and several 2 or 3 loss seasons. I wouldn't call them a traditional powerhouse like say Alabama or Notre Dame, but they've definitely had some good upswing in the past decade. Last two seasons haven't been that great for them, but even then, this is the first season they've gone under .500 since 2002.

The rest, you've completely got me there. Just pointing out that Utah sorta deserved some more attention.

He's right though; if we could have at least won another game or two, instead of having that nasty 3 game skid, we probably could have came out with some steam and that might have carried over to the future. Hell, maybe Leavitt's issue would have been swept under the rug, and would have died there or someone'd trip on the evidence a decade or two later. You know, once the school achieved quasi-national powerhouse status and all.

Trip, if AC plays well, I think we'll be fine. They need to crash the boards and draw fouls to pickup free throws. The team generally shoots a good FT%; I feel like if AC can dish the ball inside, it'll allow us to draw fouls and open up the perimeter for easier shots.

I was waiting to hear how the Bulls did. Good read.

I do somewhat agree there. We've had some exciting games against both teams.

I generally agree, money talks, but I would think coming out and not looking like garbage would help us somewhere.

Speculation will be that the ACC will make teams better, anyway. Better conference, better recruiting, or what have you.

I just think, as the wigs await their conference call on Monday, they'll be watching until then. And we have primetime on ESPN.

Triple B, you don't think a good showing against the other team the ACC might be considering is important?

If we go out there and look like a team with no heart or will, why should they consider us?

I think we should be happy to learn that USF is being talked about. We're not the "Aha!" Type thought that we'd like to be, but being considered is very important.

It sorta makes our game against Cincy that much more important. Hope Holtz realizes what this game could mean.

I was in the student section, doing my thing with the rest of the pocket of kids at the bottom right of the section. I'll agree, it was sorta quiet at times, but, we all cheered and got excited at the big plays.

I'd argue the game was never "close enough" to cheer the team to a victory. If that makes sense.

Matter of fact, there was a few kids next to my girlfriend and I who were being obnoxious. They kept yelling at the Bradley coach and telling him how bad he was and stuff.

I don't think they're kidding, grad. Look at what the rest of their post was about. How it was presented.

Football/sports are important in that they do bring in contracts and sponsorships for the university. Should a team have success, this does expand the fan base, which does increase the popularity of the school. We don't necessarily NEED this to take place, but it certainly exists. There's no question.

Another benefit to sports clubs, specifically good teams, is the creation of tradition and camraderie amongst fans and players. It leads to more interest in a school, a desire to be apart of those traditions.

But again, none of that is necessary. Harvard has decent sports teams, but I wouldn't be going there for the sports, imo. If I wanted to go to a school for sports, i'd pick Alabama, UNC, maybe UF.

How reliable is Katz though?

Just saw a rumor on another Bulls forum stating that UCONN could move to the ACC as soon as today.

Surprised I never signed up here.

Anyway, I don't see why the ACC goes for a 16 team conference by adding (or trying to add) UCONN, Louisville, and USF. Maybe Cincy instead of Louisville, only because Louisville could (should?) Get an offer from the Big 12.

This would cause the big east as a football conference to implode, leading to a basketball-only type big east. Or, maybe those schools are picked up by other conferences, and thus ends the Big East.
