I like the AAC idea. Or All-American Conference. Do a cross promotion with Waffle House and get a discount if your school is a part of it.

Beta, we also had the women's softball team go to the CWWS last season, and the men's soccer team was in the elite 8. And the Football team started out 4-0 with that nice ND win.

This is the best thread ever.

I've grown up in a tough environment too, but I don't beat up random people for gain. I work hard and push myself for it.

I'd be okay with taking one potentially as a science experiment. See how he does, how he responds to the second chance. If he was in no way humbled, I'd drop him right away.

His official is now a 4.41. still impressive. Posted a very good broad jump as well.

CJL ran the linebacker drills.  Barrington looked pretty good other than catching the ball in his body rather than just the hands.  At least he caught it.  There were a few drops. One poor guy stumbled once and then later fell coming in to meet the ball. 

He held on to it though, and ran the drill correctly.

Barrington's actually one of the better LB's at the bench press. currently #10.

USF is now a stepping stone job...I sure hope we can change that very very soon or other alums might be jumping to support other more worthy endeavors. Leavitt and Lee Roy Selmon were USF football and now we are left with an empty shell of what we were and what we could have been.

 

USF's been a stepping stone job for years. Wally Burnham to Iowa State, Dan McCarney to Florida and beyond (or was he at UF before us?), and others I'm sure. Is what it is.

Not sure, I just went by the scores posted on the combine website. Preliminary scores possibly?

They're probably grades from people watching film of their performances over their college career. No idea how accurate they are in telling how well a player does at the combine, or if someone with a "low grade" has then proceeded to be one of the best at the combine or not.

We may drop a few sports as well.

You wont see any of our guys until the 3rd day oneward IIRC. They're all defensive guys so they wont show up on offensive days.

And apparently USF pulled some strings to keep him along.

Not as much as we'd like to believe, but there is excitement building.

Just saying over the past few months we've heard about potential transfers from.. UF, Alabama, FSU, WKU, elsewhere too I think. Mostly QBs.

We had a crap ton of kids from around the state, though. OS has never been very good imo.

Sigh. It wouldn't be USF without Jim Leavitt.

It wouldn't be USF if our sports teams didn't disappear late in the game.

If we get snazzy uniforms, perhaps they wont be all-green anyway.

We lost the second half 51-30

What would our record be if we only counted the first 20 minutes each game?

We'd have 15 wins. This is if you consider ties at halftime that lead to victories (Youngstown State, for example) and games in which we were behind at the half but won (Georgetown).

The flips are ND, UConn, Rutgers, and WMU. in reverse order. And now this game.

6'4 and 3 bills. I do hope he'll be a leader.

This is building tradition and discipline at the same time I feel. Tradition because it promotes unity and... stuff.

Lynch broke the NFL Single Season Sack record...while in spring training.

But we all know dad doesn't sign the paperwork.  Not to say he isn't right, but.  Its not from the horses' mouth.

He's implying that it would make training up to game more intense, that's all.

I'd prefer last game of the season. I'll be more than hyped to see something like the Bulls potentially earning a 10+ win season or an undefeated BE record by smacking those fools in the face than a mid-season game that doesn't yet have full implications.

I want it to bleed when we smack them in the face.

Apparently grades were a concern, but if Cinci was willing to take him, we hould be okay.

I'd hope Taggy and co. can teach him a more conventional running posture. Guy could get fu'd up running like that.
