I must have forgotten all of the top-25 finishes and conference chamipnships that Leavitt brought to Tampa...
But...but...but...Three years ago it was all so clear to you. Get rid of Leavitt and things would be so much better. The Bulls would win Big East Championships if Leavitt was gone.
Now, rather than admit your were wrong, you are reduced to BLAMING THE SENIORS!
Truly pathetic.

Skips talking this morning of shuffling the staff on 98.7. Don't think cosh will get fired until end of season.
aka re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

How can we be any worse next season...just saying.
Oh, it can get worse...The Bulls will have even fewer moral victories.

Watch Hesiman Contender Chandler Whitman!
Who??

You know, like "The World's Largest Cocktail Party!"
I like: "Battle for the Bottom of the Big East Heap!"
What's your hook?

I think we need to clean house and Wollard should be the first to go!
What's the deal with all these repetitive threads? How many threads do there need to be of the same things? If someone needs to be fired then it is the Moderators of this message board who obviously are asleep at the wheel. The board needs cleaning up badly. At least 90% of these FB related threads can be grouped together to form one that then can be pinned at the top.
What do you want to talk about then?
Talk about the upcoming game.
O-kay...The Battle of the Big East Cellar Dwellers should really be exciting! What do you think the attendance will be?

watching USF football. Every week is the same thing. How many times can we say Holtz should be fired? or Cosh? I'm going to have to turn this off for a week and hope somebody gets fired so I can then read all the "it's about time" comments and "why did it take so long".
Enjoy your week guys. I'll check back to predict the loss to UConn on Friday.
At the end of the year Cosh will be the sacrificial lamb and Holtz will stay because Woolard is desperate to not admit he ****** it all up. Holtz will lose again next year and both Woolard, Holtz and possibly Genshaft will be shown the door.
It would be best if the Trustees just fire everyone now and start over. The sooner they hire a new president the better so they can hire a new AD, then the AD can hire a new coach. That won't happen, though, and the incompetence will continue.

Wonder what it would take to bring in Jimmy Johnson or someone who knows how to win?
He did a great job at the U, He knows how to relate to the players. Maybe we could actually start winning the recuriting battle in the Bay area.
The game has passed Jimmy Johnson by. He's 69 yrs old and last coached CFB in 1988. Kids will not relate to someone that has been out of FB that long. What they know of him is that he's the other kooky guy along with Bradshaw on FOX NFL Sunday shows.
Bill Snyder is 73. Has the game passed him by as well?
Bill Snyder hasn't been out of CFB since 1988 either. The fire in Johnson's belly has burned out long ago. Snyder just needed to recharge his battery which is why he left KSU for a few years before returning.
When Snyder "retired" at K-State at the end of the 2005 season after going 4-7 in 2004 and 5-6 in 2005. His first choice to succeed himself as HC was Jim Leavitt, but Hurricane Wilma might be credited for Leavitt turning him down and remaining at USF. The WVU game was postponed from October 22nd to the end of the year extending the Bulls' regular season to December 3rd. Snyder kept pressing Leavitt for an answer, but Leavitt kept putting him off and until after the WVU game. Finally, Snyder gave Leavitt an ultimatum along with an $8 million contract offer to make a decision before the WVU game. Leavitt told him no and the rest is history.
In retrospect Leavitt should have bolted from USF but he was dumb enough to be loyal and stay.

I don't think the games passed him by, but he makes a lot of money being a commentator now. Why would you leave the job he has now to come take over this mess?
Please stop! Just stop! Logic and reality have absolutely no place on this board!
Haha fire holtz now and steal Meyer away from Ohio State! i heard he can recruit well in Florida Is that better?
Well...It's actually more realistic than Jimmy Johnson. It has a snowball's chance in Hell of happening, but it is slightly more realistic.

With all due respect, slick1ru2 was fully anti-Leavitt when the Miller stuff was put together.
He's not going to change now.
I know, but my evil twin likes tormenting the kids that ride the short bus.

In spite of the record and the horrible product on the field the fans showed up and supported the team last night. Students did their part and were engaged and into the game.
Lets continue to support the players this year and hope that the Admin makes changes to the coaching.
So who's going to fix the root problem and make a change in the Admin?

You and others need to be realistic. Jimmy Johnson wouldn't bother to return Woolard's phone calls.

based on lack of recruiting last couple of years
lack of development of players
failure to land a top qb recruit
look at our competition year in and year out
rutgers;lousiville and cinncinati out recruit and out coach usf year after year
they get better florida players than usf
smazza...You axed for it and you got it on January 8, 2009. Now put on your big girl panties own up to your choice.

In hindsight, it really is sad we lost CJL because he basically did what many, many coaches before him had done at the D1 level. Not saying it's right, but man how I wish for what could have been the last couple seasons with some emotion and motivation from the HC. Nice guys finish last.
What is it that you say Leavitt did, win?
-
Obviously he was listening to the ref that was talking to him, the guy in the black hat with stripes that was to the left. And if he didn't call a time out, it would have been a TD, the flag was on USF for a substitution. Again, Skip didn't turn over the ball or miss his passing coverage assignment. He also didn't not call a block in the back when that second TD was run in.
So...According to you, slick...Nothing is Skip's fault.
Let me guess...You're going to vote for Obama...again.

What qualifies to know what a stupid comment is?
he's an expert on stupid comments.
So you agree with slick this collapse is the fault of the seniors?
So anything you don't agree with is stupid? My 9 year old acts the same way.
C'mon, slick...I'm waiting for you to 'splain it to me.
“Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and it annoys the pig.†Robert Heinlein
Slick...I'm waiting for you to defend your really stupid comment.
Is Skip so weak he can't stand up to a group of college students?
Is that what you're saying?

I doubt the program is ruined. Last I checked we're not being demoted back to FCS status. Or being kicked out of the Big East. That's pretty much everything Leavitt worked for. He didn't get much further than that.
Hilarious. The man went from a trailer park to BCS #2 status in 10 years. Yeah, thats all Leavitt worked for.
Be correct. 9-4 season.
The idea of this program being destroyed is stupid. Is Skip the right guy? No, doesn't look like it. But, that doesn't mean there isn't some coach who can come in and get this train running.
Joe I tend to want to agree with you but i can't ignore what it happening here. Integrity, foundation, reputation (insert here) it's getting beat up...there is a difference between a bad season and insanity and we have moved into insanity as we continue to lose in the same fashion over and over without correcting the problems. Hard to do when you don't remove the problem(s)
The main problem, the starters, will be removed next season at many positions.
slick...You've made some pretty stupid comments over and over on this board but this one has to take the Booby Prize. If the seniors aren't good enough to start, then why is Skip starting them??
DOH!

What qualifies you to know what a stupid comment is? You've made knee jerk comments all over this website with zero qualifications on their validity. Do I have to hold your hand and explain why seniors are starters? Really?
LOL!
Yeah, slick...Hold my hand and explain to me why seniors are starters!

IT HAS NOW BEEN DESTROYED COMPLETELY.
and all it took was a chokeslap
In reality, it was a chokeslap that never happened. What it really took was Doug Woolard orchestrating a lynching.
we all read the reports with poorly redacted names. revisionist history is better known as mythology.
And who wrote that report?
Hmmm?
i believe there was an independent investigator. Leavitt contradicted himself multiple times. multiple students contradicted his account.
no need to rehash this ********. Leavitt screwed himself and needed to go. the fact that Skip is epic garbage does not change the facts surrounding Leavitt's termination.
the TERRIBLE decision to hire coach in no way means Leavitt's termination was unjustified.
Leavit NEVER contradicted himself because he was NEVER interviewed! He was NEVER asked for his version of the story! It was an orchestrated lynching, plain and simple.

Oh, my...You bought into the whole enchilada.
First, there was no indedpendent investigation. There was no investigation at all. The hatchet man was Thomas Gonzales of the law firm of Thompson, Sizemore, Gonzales and Hearing, Hearing, P.A.
From their web site...
I. Introduction
At Thompson, Sizemore, Gonzalez & Hearing we limit our practice to management-side labor and employment law. We are dedicated to providing high-quality legal services in a cost-effective manner to the owners and managers of businesses and to governmental entities. We assist our clients in managing their employees, help our clients deal with labor organizations, and represent them before courts and agencies that regulate any aspect of the employment relationship. We believe in helping our clients prevent legal problems by having sound personnel policies and practices, including effective training programs for their managers. When our clients are faced with litigation, we defend their interests vigorously with the goal of extricating them from the court system at the earliest opportunity with the best possible result and at the lowest cost.

What Leavitt built from the ground up has been DESTROYED
in USF South Florida Bulls Athletics

Again...In college football perception is reality.
All the facilities in the world will do little, if any, good if you can't convince top recruits being a Bull would be a good move for them without a winning coach and program. And good lucking convincing a winning coach that taking the job at USF won't end his career.
