  1. Part of this is the kids fault. Why would you stop attending camps just because you get one offer? Schools offer more than they can take all the time, hell UF has more committs now than schollies. You expect kids to change their minds, this kid put all his eggs in one basket. He will get a ride playing D1-AA at the worst so don't feel too bad for him

  2. I guess when all else fails on the RB front which looks more and more likely it will; he's a good option. I love that he absolutely wants to be here but am worried about him running between the tackles. Just don't think he is a feature back in a pro style offense

    +1

Based only from viewing his highlights it looks like he likes to bounce to the outside a lot which he got away with at this level but will be aiot tougher for him at the next level, size is a concern also but I like his spunk. Get him behind a big line and let him disappear and do his magic.

Same thing they said about Alfred Morris. One of the best 6th round picks in the history of sports.

One good year at RB and you make that statement? C'mon man!

  3. Yeah he is not coming......

    LukeStampini Luke Stampini

We are in for a furious finish for Mackensie Alexander. He's high on SEC, Clemson & playing early.

He's also from the same school as some other talent we've brought in. And, has a friend/family member (I forget) that he'd like to commit with that is lower profile (I believe). Playing early, being local, and accommodating his acquaintance could be our in.

His brother is a tweener safety

  4. DiNovo is a better prospect than AW?

    GTFO

Having seen both play multiple times I'd put $100 down right now that says DiNovo is more successful than AW when it's all said and done.

Which is why Taggart is not after thim much as people think. The kid had two stars, shows up and has a stroke of a mircale performace at a skills camp and shoots up to a four stars. If I am Taggart even if AW commits, White is my QB unless AW out performs him by a mile. White has proven he is a winner and most of all is as accurate as they come. Watching White's flim, I see throws BJ was off my mile going to his wides outs in the same spot everytime. White is our future.

2 stars and shot up to 4? You are so clueless it not even funny. The kid was a 4 star, committed to USF and got moved down to a 3 star. Decommitted and then again went back up to a 4 star after the IMG camp, being invited to gator day and other big programs to visit and participate in invite only camps. When he recommitted again to Usf on the radio show he again went down to a 3 star. After the elite 11 camp he once again, shot back up to a 4 star and the #2 Dt QB in the nation. He has recently fallen due to a poor season. Many believe this was because of the coaches (kid wasnt even the team captain on an awful team) hated him due to being UCF alums. Trent Dilfer and many well respected coaches have raved about him, even during his Junior year. I think they know the differece between the real deal, and a guy just playing well in shorts. Am I saying he is going to be the next Cam Newton? No. But I think he will be better than Teddy Bridgewater and will be closer to Tyrod Taylor.

  5. 6A always better than 3A? Didn't White's team just finish the year top 10 nationally? Ahead of EVERY single team in Florida, including all the 6AM powerhouses?

Overall its always better. Yeah, some low A schools are crazy good, but if you took the 2nd or 3rd best team in each district and played each other, it would be a joke most of the time. With that said, it is the state of Florida so just about every school has 1 or 2 athletes

    @DtrackstaP if they offer

    Well ****

Well of course he would rather go to FSU than USF.

You guys loook waayyy too much into this stuff. Kids say this stuff all the time

  7. Pretty much.... This is part of the reason I'm leaning toward White. Kid has a good head on his shoulders... is a competitor... but more importantly made a commitment and stuck by it with NO DRAMA. The more I think about it the less I like the idea of a guy who's all over twitter and everywhere else managing this team.

    Sounds like sour grapes.

    I'll take AW in a heartbeat. He's a kid, he's humble, and he's hungry.

How is it sour grapes? I've seen both White and AW play in person in game conditions and in my opinion White has a more mature skill set. AW has potential... and that's all it is because in two seasons he hasn't shown much during a game on the field when it comes to what we need which is game maturity and good decision making. AW won a skills contest as well as some 7 on 7 contests. White won a 3A POY and a state championship.

How is that sour grapes when I'd rather go with the known package. All we are going to need our QB to do is hand off to our power back or throw quick accurate passes and make sound decisions. That's White's game to a T.

Im not saying your completely wrong, but your basing most of your opinion on the teams success. AW had no talent with awful coaching around him, while White was surrounded with talent at every position. Not to mention, theres a huge difference in 3A football, and the 6/7 A level, especially here in Florida. Once again, I still think White can be solid, but lets not discredit AW just because he's causing drama here. The kid is a flat out baller and has IT. We would be extremely lucky to have him on our team. Anyone who thinks other wise has either mentally convinced themselves he's not that good, or just doesn't know football.

The difference between 3a and 6a is the school size (Winter Park is in the new 8a div, btw). You can have superstars at small schools. For example, Cris Collingsworth went to Astronaut HS in Titusville, a 3a school. He was a first team All American. Yeah, 3a teams are generally worse overall because of the smaller amount of potential players, but you don't judge individual players based on school division. 3a football in Florida and Texas is actually pretty competitive. And being bigger doesn't mean better, Winter Park sucked because of lack of talent at key positions.

WP sucked because their coaches suck. Im not going to argue about tbis because its not even close. 6A is ALWAYS better than 3A. Its not even close. Yeah, there sre superstars in 3A. But on that team, you will also have 5 or 6 players that wouldnt start at the majority of 5 or even 6A schools

  9. I just saw his film and he is a very solid back and would love to land him. I really like how he hits the holes, he makes a cut and then runs north/south. Which is very important in a RB, he also showed nice break away speed although that can sometimes be misleading against certain competition. If its similar to when I was playing Cocoa played some good traditional competition in the Daytona area so that should validate his top end speed. He also seems like he knows when to cut/juke/breakdown a player or run over them(making sure pad level is lower and momentum in his favor). I like Jojo but think Folston is the better APB although with CWT I can see him utilizing Jojo's strengths as a slot back or even running a wishbone.

I think CWT(Harbaugh tree) gets it, you play to win and if that means you run the ball 50 times then so be it or starting a younger player over a vet b/c he gives you the best chance to win then thats what matters(team game). I've seen most of the top FL RB's on video and from what I've seen Collins is clear cut #1(flat out on another level nationwide) but Folston is a top 3 back in FL. I know Collins is not being realistic even though I think CWT would allow him to flourish here but think Folston would be the next best choice for us. I would love to see him and Jojo come in and push each other as well as allow us to run multiple packages and take advantage of our athletes. Something we haven't done and has really bothered me considering the athletic ability some of these kids we bring in have(Shaw prime ex.).

As for all the conference realignment BS and playing for a NC, these kids shouldn't focus on something that is ultimately out of their control. Only two teams play for it every year out of 130(?) so do the math and you will realize it takes a lot more than one player or even playing in a great conference to get the opportunity to play in that game and statistically you probably never will. Your most important goal should be to improve yourself as a person both academically and athletically as well as putting yourself in a position where you are around people you can trust(home/family/childhood friends) to succeed. I really feel we are in a great situation with CWT and who/what he brings to the table. He knows Florida football and how passionate we are about it as well as the big traditional schools and their fast rise in the 80's(FSU/UM). Something we can easily achieve putting ourselves in a situation like UM and FSU did where we play anyone, anytime and they have to recognize us and take notice. That is what will put us on the map and in everyones discussions regardless of what conference we are in(Boise St is a great ex.).

Who did he play in the Daytona area?

  10. I wouldnt hold my breath on Kemp guys. I am from daytona, I played with him, Norvell, Marlin Lane, Pop Saunders, Ricardo Allen, OJ Ross, Quinton Powell (who de-committed from UF and could be in play), and leonard williams. Kemp is a very physical runner, but is not very explosive through holes or once he gets to the 2nd level. Im not saying he cant help, but there are much better guys with less stars.

Then give us the down low! Who are we passing by that we should be looking at?!?!

Well for starters, I really like Anthony Lauro from Manatee and he should be interested in coming. He's a ball player, and has instincts that you can teach in a player. I haven't watched a ton of film on the RB's for this class, but I will be pretty soon. Again, I am not saying Kemp cant help, obviously he is a solid player, I just dont think hes a guy we can give the ball 25 times a game.

  11. NC State is the red headed (literally) step child of North Carolina Football, and that isnt saying much. Would hate to see him waste his talent there.

Some might say that about USF in Florida.

And while it may be true, the school in Florida automatically gets the edge. Anyone who has played, or even closely watched high school football in Florida knows that 2 star athletes from here are just as good if not better than 3 and 4 stars from other states

    slow your roll.

Have you ever watched a high school game from another state? There are high school teams that dont even make the playoffs here that could win state other places

  14. The best games on our schedule may never be played again: Miami, Louisville, Rutgers, and Cinci and UConn most likely.

We have Tulane and ECU to look forward to.

UCF and ECU have by far the worst fans I have experienced. I have enjoyed meeting fans from other teams but not them.

Generally speaking, UF fans are the worst. Right up there with Dolphin fans. Arrogant, self centered, obnoxious. They like to throw things and spit on people.

Just a guess; Bills or Jaguars fan?

Jets/Eagles fans are mucchhhhh worse than Dolphin fans. Hell, there are more jets fans in Miami when they play anyway. I agree with UF though
