i did over and ml for FAU. Sweating out these overs is killing me.

I took the same during that game. Got paid with you. I don’t usually like playing over/ under.  A team can average a certain number of points and a certain percentage from 3, but you get that off day when the 3s just won’t fall and suddenly the under hits by 10 points. Taking the over/under on a parlay can definitely boost profits if you’re confident in a high scoring game, but man, you’re right, sweating out because of an over is a fact. lol

Gotta be just about time for Karter to make a decision. If Coach Amir closes the deal there and adds him along with C.J. Brown . . . whoa.

Would be so awesome to have Karter on the team for 1 season before he declares. We'd be picked to finish 1st this time instead of 9th.

However, I think he's going to go with Kentucky.

  3. I didn't quite understand how intricate NET was in terms of classification here's what I learned -- What qualifies a Quad 1, 2, 3, or 4 win?

    Quad 1 Win
    Home win vs. NET 1-30
Neutral court win vs. NET 1-50
    Away win vs. NET 1-75

    Quad 2 Win
    Home win vs. NET 31-75
Neutral court win vs. NET 51-100
    Away win vs. NET 76-135

    Quad 3 Win
    Home win vs. NET 76-160
Neutral court win vs. NET 101-200
    Away win vs. NET 136-240

    Quad 4 Win
    Home win vs. NET 161+
Neutral court win vs. NET 201+
    Away win vs. NET 241+

This site shows the breakdown of each of our wins and how they are classified in the NET ranking system:

    https://bracketologists.com/teamsheet/south-florida-bulls

Remaining Games (NET rankings as of 2/20):
    UTSA (Away) - NET 285 = Quad 4
    SMU (Home) - NET 34 = Quad 2
    Charlotte (Away) - NET 94 = Quad 2
    Tulane (Home) - NET 134 = Quad 3
    Tulsa (Away) - NET 199 = Quad 3

We don't have any additional Quad 1 opportunities in regular season play.

A Neutral Court Win vs SMU or FAU (if we have these matchups) during the conference tournament would give us an additional Quad 1 win for each of those games. No other teams in the AAC are under NET 50 and therefore would not be included as a Quad 1 win on a Neutral Court.

That SMU +460 is a good bet. I won't make it, but if the Bulls were not in it I would be all over that value.

It could potentially be, but SMU plays FAU on Thursday and still have a matchup with UAB on 3/10. Thursday’s game can give them another loss, making it difficult for them to keep up by having 4 conference losses. Our destiny is in our own hands now. A bet against USF to win the regular season is saying you think we lose to both SMU and Charlotte and those two win out. It’d be a better bet to say SMU will win the conference tournament rather than the regular season title.

  5. Tuesday February 20th - 4 Games of Importance for USF's Top 25 Ranking

    Ranked 20-25
    *TCU (#30#25) vs. Texas Tech (#23/ #23)
    BYU (#25, #21) vs. #11 Baylor

    Receiving Votes
    Wisconsin (#28#33) vs. Maryland
Michigan State (#29, #32) vs. Iowa

    *TCU (#30#25) vs. Texas Tech (#23/ #23)

     * #23 Texas Tech is playing #30/25 TCU - who is receiving votes in the AP and is #25 in the Coaches Poll, so this game appears twice -- both for the Top 25 matchup and the Receiving Votes matchup sections.

Frankly, UVa shouldn’t get any votes. They just got throttled by a very pedestrian Tech squad.

UVa is my second school and love them, but they have been downright painful to watch this season. Crazy to believe I prefer to watch my Bulls over the Cavs in basketball.

Stan Heath's 2011-2012 team reminded me of a Virginia kind of team from seasons I've seen in the past when they've been in the tournament. Very good defense, won't score a whole bunch of points every game and keeps the games at their pace - slow. Games in the 50-60 points range can occur quite often. Just low scoring overall. However, if a team can score on them, VA has big trouble keeping up because of their style of play. Can be tough to watch but if done well, a team can be quite successful with that style of play.

Not sure the American matches up with some other conferences on quality, but on competitive, entertaining games it has been one of the best I have watched this season.  The Bulls, of course, have contributed mightily to that.

That’s because the Big East was lopsided when we were a member, very top heavy with strong teams that would dominate. Then the AAC even had some strong teams that have left and we brought in some lower tier teams that have balanced the conference. The teams that were brought in belonged with/ can hold their own with the remaining AAC teams. On any night, any team in this conference can beat anyone. That creates competitive, entertaining games but does not benefit the conference as a whole or any particular team who feels as though they are better than the rest of the conference and deserve to be in a tournament with top notch teams nationally.

  8. We moved up to 92 from 99 after our FAU win. They are now our only Quad 1 win. FAU fell from to 29 from 27.image.thumb.png.88f670e8777ace965b1e9054364e5853.png

We only passed Charlotte to take 5th in the AAC in Net Ranking. SMU is awarded a 7 spot improvement after beating Memphis, who is terrible. NET is a very dumb ranking system. We must beat SMU at home.
