If we held athletes to the same standard as regular students then we wouldn't have very many athletes.

So how much goes to the rest of the student body that pay tuition so the university can continue to exist and give these athletes the platform to showcase their skill? Will I get a cut from their million dollar contract once they hit it big since I paid into the program that showed them off to the country? Where's my cut from having a high gpa which raises the profile of the school academically? Stupid argument. I would love to have everything paid for and get to play a game I love around the country for free. Sure, let's pay these athletes so they can barely pass their criminal justice degree or sociology. God, life is so hard, I get to go to school for free and play football while the other 44,000 students get jobs and in debt to pay for this. B U L L S H I T.

Jeff Vinik has put about 50 million dollars of his own into the Forum. The Lightning also have sold out their first 4 home games this year and have seen attendance skyrocket since Vinik took over. It's amazing what good customer service can do.

he's truly an asset to the community. didn't he fund a program for USF? seems like he wants to give back to the community instead of take from it unlike some of the other pro sports franchise owners in the area.

Vinik and Stu Sternberg seem to be guys who really want their team to succeed and have the fans be happy. I feel like the Glazers really only care about the bottom line on their income statement.

Not a basketball guy by any means but I hardly saw anyone under the rim trying to get a rebound when we were on offense. Everyone just watched and then ran back to defend. Nova seemed to always be open and have nice looks for all their shots.

I'm graduating in 4 yrs if it makes anyone happy. I'll be done in May. Bachelor's in Economics.

Judy is doing a great job and Doug is doing well for the university also. We are improving. Sorry it isn't UF or FSU yet. We are shedding the commuter tag and acceptance is getting more selective. The school is encouraging taking more classes to finish faster and putting policies in place to improve students grades and also to weed out the slackers/dumbasses. I really see us improving greatly academically in the next 5-7 years. As for athletics, I just wanna win, dgaf where but just win.

I'm still weirded out by what just happened. This random number texts me and tells me "He just fired everyone!!!" And I ask who this is and if they were talking about Taggart. Then some lady calls and asks if I'm involved with USF in any way and apologizes. Before she hangs up I ask how she knew about this before bulls247 posted that tweet and she just laughs and says that it may be true or it might not be. Weird.

So according to some weird number that just texted me out of nowhere, Taggart has fired most or all of the previous staff. Don't know if there is any truth to this but I checked bulls247 and it had a tweet sent at about the same time I got the message.

At this point, I would think Skip would go into TV for a while. Get $500,000 a year for 5 years from USF and make a name for yourself as an analyst.

His options as a coach right now aren't going to pay him much more than maybe $300,000 to $500,000 per season.

Remind me why I'm in college again.

All this talk?? Seriously I love it when fans talk and everybody jumps on board. When USF hires Taggart or whomever, I'm glad they don't consult any of us That is why we are fans and they make informed decisions not based on emotion - at least I hope so

Well based on what I've read here and the stuff I researched a bit online, he seems like a good hire. What you said is true though, as fans we would make terrible consultants.
