Everything I’ve read on this hire is nothing but positive and full of enthusiasm. I too, am excited to see a young up-and-comer leading the Bulls. However, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t this excited after each hire. Holtz was the answer to Leavitt’s caveman style approach to football. Until he wasn’t. Taggart was the answer to Holtz’s lack of enthusiasm and recruiting chops. Until he was swept away. Strong was the answer to Taggart’s lack of defense, but he forgot to bring the offense (or return any discipline) with him. Finally, we have a coach that answers a few voids. Recruiting, player development, Florida contacts, enthusiasm, youth and a few other qualities. I want this to work. I just can’t allow myself to get too excited until the difference is seen in the field. I’ve never been a paper champ style of fan. I will do my part financially to help this program out with facilities and always, always cheer on this team. GO BULLS!!!

I was not excited about the hire of CCS. Skippy, a little just because of his name and what he did for ECU and a huge fan of Taggs being a grad from the same high school and him being a local guy. I like the hire but hopefully he can produce an exciting and successful product before he leaves.

I would take CJL way before I took back the slime ball Slick Willie. He has zero loyalty to anyone. Further, those stupid sayings...no way I could deal with his complete and utter bull ****.

You wouldn't be loyal to any team either with the pay check they offered and a dream to have a better chance of one day coaching a BCS Championship winner........just sayin

If we go with an ex-coach, we have one ex-coach who has had tremendous success since leaving.

    One, and only one.

So that's the one to bring back if we went with a former coach.

It was also a very different time in college football back then.

If things were how the were now, no way in hell would the committee ever have us ranked that high again.

Taggart would dominate here if we brought him back. Once we moved from the Stanford pro style to the Gulf Coast O we were set.

Can't blame him for moving to Oregon. Now that he flamed out at fsu it would scare power 5 schools away a bit once he starts winning here again.

I'm fine with looking at other options, but Taggart should be at the top of the list.

At this point, who would want to come here other than a young OC/DC who is going to jump at money if and when a P5 comes knocking.

CCS is not the solution here as we can all agree.

CWT is one hell of a recruiter and I feel like Coach King worked well with QF which I never understood keeping him but moving him to a different positional coaching spot.

I would love to see up ranked and competing nationally for NY6 games and all of that hoopla but at this point I'd rather see up scoring points and enjoying football again.

This product is worse than Skippy Ball and Gilbert's grape eating offense.

Only one QB is assigned per team (assumed to be starter). Then they can draft more QB's if they like during the skill position draft or general draft (There is a skill position draft, offensive lineman draft, defensive front draft, defensive back draft, and then a general draft I believe).

Gotcha. I just heard something briefly on the radio during my commute.

I'm actually excited for this league to see how well it does.

Maybe USF should hire Coach Castle as a consultant to help recruit a worthy coach....  He seems to know what it takes to WIN!!

433 wins — Bill Castle, Lakeland
Note: Has won seven state championships and a pair of national titles in his 43 seasons, all at Lakeland.

He coached Mike and Maurkice Pouncey, Chris Rainey, Ahmad Black, and many other great college players.  Could also help us with recruiting from Polk.

He's 70 and still motivating kids to win EVERY YEAR!!

Not a chance he leaves Lakeland.

  7. Make everyone happy.

Pay the athletes or allow them to monetize their name/brand whatever but have some stipulations(just some ideas I came up with with drinking CR):

    1. While monetizing your name/brand/product you're also using the collegiate name/brand as well. A fee should be then paid back to the college or university.

    2. During the monetization period, you sign an agreement/contract to remain playing "x" sport for that college or university just as pro athletes do.

Really scary to see what could come of collegiate sports teams in the future should everyone hop on board.
