All,
My wife and I were contemplating not getting tickets this year (have had season tickets for 4 straight seasons now) but am getting excited by the new blood being infused into the program.
Thx

Isn't this the same school that Troy Holston is from?
Maybe USF can build a wall around this school.

I was told yes, you will receive a ticket when showing up early.

All,
I moved our MBB tickets to the club section this year, curious what we can expect for concessions?
I know the regular section has HORRIBLE food and was hoping it was better in club.
Thx

I actually am looking at this from multiple ends. 1) I have been grandfathered into my section for a long time now. 2) However, I have chosen to give at a level higher than the required donation for that section for awhile now. It was nice to know I could have reduced it to the grandfathered rate but I understand the change. 3)Having said all that with the seat donation and figuring in a very generous 20% alumni discount - the whole thing costs me thousands less than what I currently pay.
I went back to last year's seating and donation chart and I would thing most are paying less. Hopefully we see a nice spike in ticket sales as a result of the new program.
I have no problem with the new system but I do have a problem with them dropping a > 50% increase on fans who have purchased multiple tickets (in my case 8) since day 1 for football. I have not decided if I will renew or not and I KNOW USF will not have people in line waiting to scoop up my tickets (which equates to $0 and 8 empty seats).
I know the last few years my section has been near empty so don't talk about market value to me!! There were many times I tried to sell my tickets outside the stadium and was offered $5 per. I would rather not have someone in front of me. I also tried to give tickets away the week before the game and no one cared to go.
I would feel MUCH better about an increase IF the product on the field has improved (which I feel it has not). The last thing I remember is a shutout to our biggest rival!!
Thx

All,
Is anyone else upset with the new pricing model?
It seems like the "grandfathered donations" have been pushed out the window and they are charging on a per ticket basis now (and thus essentially telling the faithful donors that their years of donating mean nothing).
Has anyone else had a massive increase in prices? I believe my 8 tickets cost me $3200 last year (with donation) and now I have to pay $5000 to get the same seats (with 1 less parking pass).
Thx

Speaking to a ticket rep. He mentioned that most people would probably see a decrease.
The ones seeing an increase wold be those with a lot of seats (8 seats) or those who were very old time ticket holders who have been grandfathered in to a high level doner seat
It's a no win.
You complain that grandfathered people being pushed out represents USF not caring.
But in the past even some posters here have complained that its not fair that people are grandfathered in. Why should people pay far less (some cases thousands) just because, for example, they are older and were able to but tickets when the potential buyer was a kid at the time.
It is something called loyalty!! It reminds me of the Bucs back in the day and getting greedy and look at their fanbase.
If new fans feel slighted, lower the donation but don't screw your loyal fans!!
Thx
jonpfl
programs don't run on loyalty. they run on cold hard cash.
there is no way you can build a fanbase or a program by grandfathering in donation levels over the long haul. it's a disincentive for younger fans and alumni. why should they have to pay more for less? not only that but it would bleed a program dry,.
A buddy of mine is a Kansas Basketball ticket holder. He said they did something similar years ago. All the oldtimers were pissed because those center court seats that they were paying a $100 donation for were now going to require a $5,000 donation even though they had held them (and in many cases passed them down to a relative) for years.
USF wants nothing more than market value for their tickets and in the long run this system will allow it.
I'm relatively young and have had season tickets for a long time. I've upgraded my donation level 3 times. This new system will allow me to upgrade my seats for no increase in donation.
I consider this a generous gift for not only my loyalty but my increased donations along the way. BTW it was great when they reseated the sundome to allow for higher level donors to get premium seats then as well.
Funny to see Kansas basketball and USF in the same sentence. I guarantee you that if those people in Kansas didn't renew, there would be 10 people in line to buy those tickets.
I have no problem paying more for a better product but I have been following USF for too long and keep hearing the same song and dance (we need more money to compete, we are going to put a better product on the field, etc).
Market value for USF tickets is about 20% of their printed value!!!

Any word on why he isn't listed as signing? I am hoping this isn't another Waverly Austin thing.

define "reliable", LOL
For any of these streaming sites, just make sure your anitvirus and adblockers are up to date, and you'll be fine.
I was going to use my iPad which I assume should be fine.

Is this reliable? I really want to watch the game and prefer not paying $10 for one game but will if I have to.
Thx

Actually, if you google "UAB television" it looks like you can stream it but it is premium content.
I am guessing you can pay the $9.95 monthly fee just to watch the game, right?
Anyone know?

Is there a way to watch the game tonight on TV?

I wonder if he had problems getting admitted into Stanford and that is why he had to take the summer classes...after that, he probably realized that Stanford was not for him.
From what I have read, Stanford does not recruit someone until they have been fully committed so I don't see how that could be the case.
Thx

All,
Surprised no one has mentioned it, I was driving to lunch around 1130am today and heard on 620 that Collins now has 2 years of eligibility.

It disgusts me if this is from a rival fan as this kid has a big decision ahead of him and he doesn't need some jealous fan mocking him. I HATE when fans resort to ripping on HS kids for making decisions. I was not happy about Asaintti going to UCLA but I hope he excels there, no hard feelings, he did what he thought was best.
Now if this is a friend who is just busting his b*lls, no biggie.
Thx

This guy has a likeable face. Still from NY, Bronx, tough mentality. Masiello, proven HC and winner, but has that face that you don't leave around with your underage daughter.
Some of us are just really desperate to win and I don't have a daughter so I was cool with it.
Dude, great post!!
I laughed at my desk.
Thx

Funny, I showed this story to my gfriend last night (Stanford alum) and she was shocked and wondered how the kids would do with their classes.
It is funny to hear someone worry about a student athlete and their classes but then again, this is Stanford.

Who cares if you can recruit if you can't coach the talent - no track record on his head coaching experience and we now become the test grounds for him. How hard is it to recruit for Kentucky? Seriously. We paid how much to this search firm? USF isn't even in the same zip code with respect to Kentucky on any level with regards to hoops. Recruiting for USF hoops is not the same as recruiting for Kentucky hoops. Looks like the losing will continue - but at least we have diversity covered. I mean - what could Eric Mussleman really offer our program? Fail, fail, fail. And the misery continues...
I'm solidly in the Sheriff's posse on this one. I'll show my support in the stands, but this guy needs to prove things fast. If he keeps this team intact with Perry, Egbunu, Allen, etc., has a healthy AC and brings in Holston and another player or two, there is NO REASON he shouldn't win games next year. There is no reason for a Willie Taggart-like rookie season for Antigua.
I agree, USF should have a very good season next year with what they have plus what they are bringing in.
Also, with Josh Heath leaving, does that mean we have a free scholarship? Are there actually any players left out there who USF can offer? Or is it too late and all the talent has signed?
Thx

All,
I am excited at the new hire, all of us are on the outside looking in, NONE of us know what he is like in person.
I am sure Mark Harlan wants to succeed at his position. Try to have a positive outlook, can he be worse than Stan???
Thx
