I fear that the AAC is working to keep us down.  IMO officiating is terrible, our BB tourney schedule and venue are suboptimal for us, etc.  Of course I'm seeing things through green colored glasses and with a touch of conspiracy theorism.

Anyway, back to realignment, would like the ACC to lose 4 and have to add for contractual purposes.  If it takes chaos, so be it.

FSU filed the lawsuit Dec. 22 in Leon County Circuit Court challenging what it describes as more than $500 million in penalties if it wants to exit the conference.

With a hearing scheduled April 9, Florida State University this week fired back at a request by the Atlantic Coast Conference to put on hold — or dismiss — a lawsuit that could lead to FSU leaving the athletic conference.

If nothing else, it will blow the average UCF fan’s mind, as more than a few of them probably had to repeat kindergarten

    Lol

It's true I don't think many of them could comprehend a novel shape. I think that might be a competitive advantage against most of our opponents. They will be so distracted by the enigma of the heptagonal presence that they'll lose focus and struggle to get snaps off on time or bring adequate pressure to the qb.

On a more serious note, the things that matter are: will the players and recruits like it, will the students like it, and will the game day experience be awesome (comfort/views/food and amenities)? Those are the most important things. Probably fourth on that list is, can it accommodate non football revenue generating activities for USF. After that, way way down the list, is do the architectural drawings look cool.

  3. It's almost unwatchable. Totally agree.

It's why I can't see myself ever becoming die hard into bball.

A foul should be just that - something you're NOT suppose to do. When it becomes part of the game somethings off.

I'd make a rule, 2 intentional fouls and game is over, you lose.

Or I'd make a rule that under 30 seconds you can elect up to say 5 free throws as long as you're willing to give the other team the same number. That's much more exciting and effectively the same thing.

  4. Today was like owning a stock that goes up like 10,000% and then watching it drop 50% in one day.

It's definitely up overall but that one day hurts.

It's good to keep a big picture perspective.

This season was the first time this program ever even GOT to the AAC semifinals. Is losing that game fun? No. But, if we are ever going to win the AAC tourney, one first has to get to the semi's, and learn what that's like. The elder statesmen of the team can pass that down, and those expectations and that learning can continue in the halls of LRS and the YC in the offseason.

We have always punched up as an athletics program. We are going through the painful growing process of becoming a program that doesn't want to just punch up forever, but to live with the pressure of being the one with the target on it's back. The one that's favored, ranked, expected to win, whatever, and then goes out and does just that. That's hard to do in one single season, and hard to do consistently over many seasons.

I do hate today but we CAN win the NIT, and that'll be another "next" for this program. In football, Memphis will be tough but we can and should compete this year - that's another "next".

Chins up Bulls Nation. For the most part all the things we've been wanting to happen, are happening, but there will be bumps and learning and lessons along the way. But we seem to finally be trying to build this thing the right way.

Oh, and hopefully some actual, juicy rendering will be here in a few weeks.
