Tulsa was the best ranked of these next 4 (now 3) games... I didn't EXPECT to win but rather thought this was likely. We were ranked in the 110s while Tulsa was 70s.

Tulane, ECU, Temple I do actually expect to win, and if you give me UCF I am a happy customer in 2021.

You expect to win against Tulane, Temple and ECU?  What leads you to believe beating them is possible?  Scott won't let them win even if they are in position to.

  2. Improvement needs to be shown this season.  The conference will be much weaker in a few years and we need a coach that can consistently keep us in the top third of the conference.  Hopefully that is BG.

Football is one thing, but men's basketball going from the best league in history to a mid major league in a ten year span is crazy.

Schedules are done years in advance.  People complain that we get no good teams coming into RayJay and then when we get good teams people complain.  Pretty difficult running a college athletic department.

This is true, but scheduling Alabama, Louisville and NC St. in the same year makes no sense for us to do at any point.

I like scheduling the P5 Teams! You never know how good they will be when you schedule t6hese games years in advance. Next year isn't scary . . . Florida will most likely be Top 25 and doubt L'ville will be. Not sure about BYU in Tamplona and we'll have an easy time with Howard.

And I don't think anyone is using this schedule as an excuse ... it's a tough schedule and we are not good enough to beat them . . . simple facts.

    Go BULLS !!!

Hoping you can go 2-2 in the OOC is not ideal for us right now.   That looks like 1-3 again next year unless things change drastically.  Having to win 5 conference games just to get bowl eligible looks like it might be a tall task for a while.

CONTEXT. He has plenty of runs that he'll carry guys for 5-6 yards. But when you get his volume of short yardage attempts it ***** up your ypc. Look at his ypc not including SUCCESSFUL short yardage attempts:

    NC State: 5 carries 26 yards (5.2)

Florida: 8 carries 29 yards. 2 yard touchdown, 2 yard run on 3rd and 1 in the redzone to move the chains, 1 yard touchdown. Take away those and its 4.8 ypc.

FAMU: 7 carries 27 yards. First and goal from the 7, gave him 3 carries to punch it in the endzone. Take away those and its 5 ypc.

BYU: 26 carries for 86 yards. 2 yard run to convert 1st down in the redzone. two 3 yard runs to convert 1st down on 3rd down in BYU territory. 2 yard TD run. 1 yard run to convert 4th down in red zone. Then they gave him 3 chances to bang away 1 yard for a TD. Take away those and its 4.1 ypc

SMU he was getting stuffed though

Whatever makes you feel better.  He is a solid short yardage back that lacks speed and elusiveness.

Seriously? That’s what happens when you get the ball at the 2 yard line. You score that much - when we have had several years not being able to score on the goal line - you are a stud.

The problem is he has almost as many carries as Battie and Joiner combined and they are getting 6 and 5 ypc respectively.  I have no problem with Mangham getting the ball inside the 5 or in short yardage situations, but that's the only time he should get it.
