We have good quality up top, but we really aren't that deep at RB. UCF has 12 backs on the roster, including a great, well-entrenched starter. Don't see why they would necessarily be a better choice for playing time, especially if Lane can use his redshirt year this year while sitting out.

Pretty sure he has already used his redshirt, so he will lose a year.

A quick look at USF and UCF's rosters, it looks like UCF has 11 RB's and USF has 5.

He comes in with point guard size and plays more of the 2. We are crowded at the 2 as it is, this is one recruit that I just don't understand trying to pull.

Our best player last year was an undersized 2. If he can put points on the board I don't care how tall he is.

Anderson is a great example; Verdejo was a good role player. I'd also like to add Gransberry from LSU to the "my favorite basketball transfers" list.

Jesse salters was a great transfer too. Mike mercer was a good role player his senior year on the NIT team.

I take it this guy is an early enrollee? I have not heard much about that. How many guys do we have enrolling early?

this is one of the high potential guys I think can make an impact early. If he's in classes, that makes me even more confident.

Just announced his decommitment from Miami. VTech fans believe he is theirs.

VTech also thought they had Kevin Bronson.

Would be great if he came to USF, but not getting my hopes up.

Also, in Twitter world, rumor of a Cali JUCO QB considering USF is floating about.

VTech has taken a couple away from us, including Jayron Hosley on signing day 2009.

As for the California juco, I assume it's Sheriron Jones who just decommitted from UF. However he has offers from half the SEC so that's a tall order.

This is REAL interesting, in that ECU plays UF in their bowl game. At the risk of sounding mean or bitter (I'm neither), I wonder if the new UF coach came on board, looked at the recruits commit list and called those that he didn't want for his system & gently cut them loose. It's not often a local kid committed to Florida bolts for ECU this late in the game.

He was committed to UF a long time ago... Even before USF, so he didn't go directly from UF to ECU.

I don't understand the end of your thought. My understanding is that he decommitted from us last spring, committing for Florida...now he's bound for ECU. Appears it is directly from UF to ECU.

That sounds promising. USF hasn't had the best success wooing the kids from Plant. I believe Mazzi Watkins, from last year's class, was the first we had since Donte Spires.

My son is a little younger and he gets in free. I don't know what the cut off age is but there is a family that sits in front of me at the games that has 3 kids who all look under 10 and the dad says they all get in free.

I don't know why yet, I just have a feeling Dre Clayton and maybe one of the white practice squad guys Jake Bodway or Justin David will transfer. I don't believe any of the true freshman or JUCO transfers that signed with Antigua will leave. Perry, Peters, Collins, Cousins, Guerroro, Holston Jr., Mercurius, Morillo, and Zeigler all stay.

I think dre and dinero are the most likely to leave.
