If I learned two thing about BJ they are he can take a hit and he is a fighter...with good field awareness..

And He has worked hard these past fiew years and there is no one more deserving...

Best of luck to him...good things happen to good people...We will always remember the FSU game...when he stepped in as a freshman and came out a leader and winner...

    That's FIVE things! :roflmao:

I was thinking the same thing

  2.

    Has he already visited?

Trickett? If so then I don't think so.

    Yup... heard you moved man

I'm moving the last week of June or July 1st. As to exactly where I have no idea and I'm mildly anxious about it. Just somewhere in/near Buffalo, NY.

Closed on my house at 1PM today. I am no longer a homeowner.

Good luck, enjoy the snow and wings

    Thanks, Riz

We will miss your beard... Game 1... I'm not shaving.... straight grizzly adams

Come to game two. We'll be in East Lansing, it's only a 5 Hr drive

    Sweet! Same here

auto invite, I will be there

  3. Do people actually read, comprehend and learn or just give thier opinions?   I posted a link which clearly states what Charsibb  mentioned above that he would be eligible ASAP According to ESPN, and other Media sources who are putting out the story.

There is also a few things that may assist as well like Google, Bing, ESPN, ect...

So Im going to say that ESPN is likely to be correct.

oooh be careful with that, they are wrong, a lot...

  4.

He should have come here originally instead Skip decided he'd rather take his guy (Gunsby) the first of many gaffes by Skip in QB recruiting. While I wouldn't mind if he camr back home (if we dont get Trickett he'd be the best QB on the roster even after a year at WR and could probably get a hardship of some kind) I dont really want him at the same time.

WOOT WOOT I just get so dam excited when someone actually gets the history correct and doesn't try to re-write it.  Good job man. Skip screwed the pooch on this one.

Yeah, except this is a perfect example of history being re-written.  For starters, Carnes would have been at Nebraska regardless.  He was only a USF recruit because he did not have an offer in hand from Nebraska.  We needed a QB and had to lock down Gunsby because Leavitt left the cupboard bare.  Finally, Carnes isn't a good QB anyway.

Except for all the facts, you are completely accurate.

I could have sworn his scholly was pulled due to grades or test scores and that caused the ruckus with Manatee that Taggart is now rebuilding a relationship

  5. WV is missing a QB...we've already got two (like 'em or not, that's what the program says).

WV plays Texas, Oklahoma & Oklahoma State...we play Houston, Cincinnati and Uconn.

WV could play in a 'BCS/P(5)' bowl whereas we - assuming end up conference champions -  could be in Memphis.

WV is coming off it's worst year since '01 with a winning season of 7-6...we are coming off our worst season in history, a losing season of 3-9.

Assuming he has designs on post-college playing, I would lean towards WV. I don't know how much of an impact he would make at USF in his

one year of play and as is always the case, I don't think geography means that much to someone who's already been away from home.

    We also play Mich St

  6.

Does he stand a chance to start at WVU? He was the backup in the ACC...how is he supposed to be even better in a tougher Big12 conference? I see his family is from there and he has ties there but you'd think just from a playing perspective he'd want to go where he could play, and play well.

Of course I'm biased and just want him here. If they're saying WVU has a huge hole in the QB slot.....we've got a freakin crater

Yes he has a very good chance to start at WVU, right now we have a battle going on better a RS Freshman Ford Childress and the True Junior Backup to Geno Smith of Paul Millard, neither are truely impressing.  Childress has all the capability/pedigree of being a NFL QB (his dad played in NFL), but the question is does he really want it is out there.  The other is a Early Enrollee in Chavis Rawlins would probably ends up at WR/QB.  I think if Millard does not win starting job he will transfer to lower division and still have 2 years to play in 3.

Trickett is smart, his brother is already learning as a coach and most see Clint as a future offensive coordinator somewhere soon.  He is very tied here and actually made the comment that it was his dream to play at Mountaineer Field while at FSU.  He grew up on the field with his dad.

I have been told he will visit USF first, then come up here afterwards to meet with staff.

Now does he come, we will see I put it 65% at WVU and 35% at USF.  The only way he goes to USF if he knows Taggart is going to give him a true chance at winning the job and starting.

(We also have mutual friends with Trickett  family (who stay with them in Tallahasse for games, if I see them this week (heading your alls way next week)I will ask)

    So you're saying he'll be a Bull?

    that is what I read

  7. I used to ride when I was in Florida.  I rode with a group and we had vests and patches, you may want to research a little about the effects of that among other vested clubs.  There is an alliance in Tampa for all the MC's, and regardless of your goal you do need to respect there views, as some of them take it very serious.

There is a difference between MC and RC, do a little research, talk to people on tampasportbikes there are a decent amount of alums and current students

  8. They were the first school to accept my wife for dental school.  Ultimately we did not end up going there, but they will always have a spot in our heart as well.

We loved the school and town, but sadly you could never get in state tuition so that was a deal breaker for us or we would probably have a nice bourbon in our glass tonight screaming

New Format Highlights Spring Game on April 13

The new USF coaching staff will utilize a draft to set the Green and White rosters for the 2013 Spring Game on Saturday, April 13 at 5 p.m. in Raymond James Stadium.

TAMPA - As the USF Football program goes through a period of change with the hiring of new head coach Willie Taggart and his coaching staff, one new addition will be free for all Bulls fans to see at the Spring Game on Saturday, April 13 at 5 p.m. in Raymond James Stadium.

In keeping with his developing culture of competition, coach Taggart divides everyone associated with the football program into two teams, Green and White, from the coaching staff to the administrative assistants. Then, the staffs determine the player rosters through a free agent period and a player draft, setting the stage for the Spring Game, which is played as a traditional game with four 15-minute quarters.

The coaching staffs have already been split. Here is a look at how the staff was divided followed by in-depth information on the Spring Game:

    GREEN TEAM COACHING STAFF

    Chuck Bresnahan – Head Coach

    Eric Mathies

    Nick Sheridan

    Telly Lockette

    Stu Holt

    Jon Bills

    Tommy Donatell

    WHITE TEAM COACHING STAFF

    Ron Cooper – Head Coach

    Walt Wells

    Raymond Woodie

    David Reaves

    Kurt von Bargen

    Chris Chestnut

    FREE AGENT PERIOD

The free agent period offers each staff the opportunity to lure one offensive and defensive player to ‘sign’ with its team. The staffs can use any method allowable by NCAA rules to try and secure a player’s signature, including incentives for the particular player. The free agent period started on Saturday, March 30 and will run until noon on Thursday, April 4. The four free agent signings will be announced via USF Football’s Twitter account @USFFootball.

    PLAYER DRAFT

The player draft will take place in the evening on Saturday, April 6 at the Lee Roy Selmon Athletics Center. A coin flip on the afternoon of Thursday, April 4 will determine whether the Green or White team gets the first pick. The team that does not get to choose first will then have the opportunity to utilize the second and third picks of the draft. From that point forward, the teams will alternate their selections until they reach 30 picks, which will conclude the first round. After the first round, the players will be dismissed and the coaching staffs will continue to select until the rosters are complete. @USFFootball will have live updates throughout the draft and the full rosters will be posted on USF’s Spring Game Central page later that night.

    PRACTICE

Once the rosters have been set, the Bulls will have three practices leading up to the Spring Game to not only work as a team, but in their divided sides. The team will have normal practices each time, but will spend approximately 20 minutes per practice working with their individual teams.

    THE GAME

The Spring Game will be played as a traditional game with four 15-minute quarters. The first half will have clock stoppages, but the second half will utilize a running clock. There will be a 15-minute halftime.

    THE PRIZE

Aside from the bragging rights that come with victory, the USF Football program will hold a cookout for the entire staff before the end of the spring semester. The Spring Game’s winning team will feast on steak and potatoes, while the losing team will be stuck with hot dogs and beans.
