I'm beginning to think that whatever company that was in charge of putting the boxes together, just sent some out in regular UPS boxes. Maybe they ran out of presentation boxes or the shipping boxes for the presentation box. Unfortunately, I was one of the ones that received a regular UPS boxes.

The box was cool as part of the presentation and all but truth be told I won't be keeping it for a lifetime. I got out of it what I wanted.

Same here. Was extremely excited to show off the nice presentation of the season ticket box with all of the swag, but completely disappointed with everything stuffed in a UPS bag that was stuffed in a UPS box. The bobblehead box was completely crushed - at least the bobblehead survived. Got the ticket holder, but no lanyard. Anyway, the most important items were accounted for - the season tickets and parking passes.

Wonder if the presentation box was only set to certain donor levels?

I doubt it was a Donor level decision. I am section 121 with no club seats. I got the nice Adidas box shipped by UPS.

Got mine very impressed with the presentation.  Hooters 25% off again is nice...I don't think we got that last year.

I agree. My box and presentation were great. I would have liked a lanyard for each ticket since we have 6 but no biggie. I am ready for the season. GO BULLS!!!

If you can’t understand what Leavitt (and others in his tenure) did for this program, you can’t understand why some feel the thrill is gone.  But, we can move on.  This thread is reminding me of Groundhog Day.

I loved the Leavitt days but it has been a long time since those days. He made a mistake and paid for it. That said he is not coming back. The administration has made some bad decisions and it feels like we are coming back. But it seems like everyone is not on board until we are in a P5 conference and are playing Bama for the national championship. Guess what at that point season tickets wont be a few hundred bucks. They will be thousands. Enjoy the team now and cheer on their growth. It happens in steps not always leaps.

Also do you think a P5 conference is going to pay attention to a team who has season ticket buyers bailing on them? Just saying. Looking forward to another great season. Go Bulls!!!

Nick, crossover to CBS Sports.  ESPN has been referred to as the Devil and the destroyer of men’s souls.

I play on both. But I have a large group of friends that have been playing on ESPN for years so I cannot abandon that.

I prefer to go to the games and then complain about things not being as good as they used to be on here; I find it cathartic.

As long as you are going. Sometimes we have to vent. In the dark years my wife would not allow me to wear a hat while watching on the TV because I would constantly throw the hat at the TV.

I usually do a pick'em  challenge through ESPN but I don't know if they are continuing it this season. I started looking around and noticed Yahoo does one as well. Would anyone be interested in setting up a group for the TBP? Or does that already exists? It doesn't seem like you can make any picks until you join a group.

I always play through ESPN. I doubt they are ending it. I just googled "2018 ESPN College Pick em" and there is a link. I clicked it and it says they are doing maintenance so it might be out in the coming days. Is there a TBP group on that site in years past?

  8. People want the big name schools. We forget that CJL wasn't getting Auburn year one. It took several years to pick up those teams and most of the time it was supposed to be their walk over out of conference game for them. That said Out of conference contracts are usually done years in advance. For example the deal we just got with Florida that starts in 4 years. 4-5 years ago CWT was still bringing us out of the Skip Holtz years and bulding up our team. We are moving forward.

I feel the position we are in is far worse than either mlb example as current small market teams get to share in mlb payouts and luxury taxes that keep them afloat and occasionally they get a punchers chance and if they moved down they would know where they stood have a proper budget and compete for a championship. We get to live a lie where we pretend we  are on the cusp of making it as we continue to spend to compete while making 1/10 the money as those we are competing with and moving further behind. The aac is the single worst position to be in in all of sports, we are the mansion built in the hood comping out at pennies on the dollar as we try to over develop our way out of it.

So what is your fix? Do you prefer to sit out the seasons until they are in a conference you like? Could we do better? Yes and we will. I am not disillusioned to believe we are on the verge of a title shot but you work on the house you have until you can sell it and get a better one. You don't sit there poking holes in the walls waiting for a new house to show up.

  10. We lost CJL after the 2009 season. It has been 9 years already. It might be time to let it go.

As far as being in the AAC. This is where we are for now. Like Brass said I am sure the administration wants to be in a better conference too. We just have not found our in yet. But a bunch of fans not buying tickets and complaining isn't helping. Actually it is hurting.

I prefer to go to the game and have a great time with friends and family. Accept the Bulls for what they are today and hope for better. They will get there.

We were in 123 the past few years, and moving to 122 this season. I love the end zone for that reason.

Here is a video I made of our Tailgating from 2016. I have not made one for last year but after the tailgate upgrade we are doing this season I will likely make one for this season.

I still go to the games it’s just not as fun, look around see the empty seats, see the people that are there sitting on their hands and being quiet. The games are not fun any more and haven’t been for a long time and anyone that is having fun is showing it in very strange ways that look a lot like they are falling asleep (but at least they are there which is more than can be said for half the stadium).

Puc I am not sure where you are sitting. I am over in Section 121 and people get rowdy and excited over there. A Few years ago I was on the 40 yard line and it seemed like people were more stiff. Maybe you just need to move. Come hang out with us South Endzoners and we will cheer with you.

Thanks man I appreciate it. I love seeing kids at the games...they really are the future of USF Football. People forget our program is realitvely new.

That is true. We have grown faster and seen more success in our short time having a team. I look forward to great things in the future. We will be able to look back and say "remember when we were in the AAC" or "remember when we didnt even have our own stadium"

I’m sitting here in the hospital waiting for my wife to deliver our first baby (Tyler). I keep imagining bringing him to games once he’s old enough. That alone really excites me about the future. I didn’t grow up a Bulls fan, so I look forward to bringing him to USF events. The last 9 plus months have totally changed my outlook on things. Yes it would be nice to be in a better conference, but I’m still looking forward to making memories as a family. USF has given me a great career and I’ll support the Bulls forever.

He will be leaving this hospital wearing USF gear.

Congrats on the new family member. That is awesome. My friend and I have 6 season tix between us. We always reserve a few games for our sons to go with us. They love it. My son has been going to games since he was 3-4 he is now 8. He is a Bull through and through. You will really enjoy building that tradition with your son. Congrats again to you and your family.
