  1. I feel that 7 pm games are better. I'm not being pompous. I prefer to watch live football in the evening in Florida. I find it more enjoyable. This is entertainment after all and the only thing at stake is being affiliated with a winning team. I guess to some people that make s them winners themselves. I guess lately anyone who feels that way has pretty much been a loser...

We should be allowed to have a preference without being labeled as self centered fans. If someone here wants us to play games against purple pirates at 3:30 because that makes the game more important to the rest of the world then good for them. They are great fans...I guess.

I go to games because I enjoy watching them, I want my team to win and I enjoy pregame gatherings and libations. 7pm just brings more favorable temperatures and less sun in my eyes at the game so I prefer it.

Nice try. Nope. You're a pompous, arrogant fan if you prefer anything but noon or 3:30 games on Saturday.

    :D

We are far from pompous and arrogant. We've done quite a bit to include the great unwashed in these Saturday events. I know that the Robinsons have, on numerous occasions, given the entire staff the evening off for USF games and have more than once doled out bus passes so they can get home in time to huddle around the radio and listen to the games themselves. Besides , it's so much easier on Flacco to wait outside the car, in the cool of the evening, than it is during the heat of the day. Don't want the driver to be overly sweaty for the ride home. And I can attest that Bull Tiger is equally generous with the nanny - allowing her to mind the young heir to the Tiger fortune from the comfort of the club, rather than the concourse. Far, indeed, from pompous and arrogant. Now, bring the car around front.

    Nice, Wooly.

Just for that I am going to shotgun one additional royal beer in your honor. That may be the one I loose on the row in front of me.

That is if I'm not hob nobbing in the club with all of the pompous douche bags.

  3. I talked to the administration about this because I was questioning the noon kickoffs and they said that the administration spoke to the conference and requested homecoming to be at noon the last few years in order to protect the students from over indulging in the adult beverages. The schools get a say in requesting the times for the games if they so choose. I personally think that noon games for homecoming are stupid and am hoping that the new AD does as well...

That makes absolutely no sense at all.

According to other postings on this subject, Los Administration, was leaning towards the noon kickoff as a means of ensuring that the chu'ren don't suffer alcohol poisoning by having surplus time - the devil's workshop - on their hands!

Now...instead the floodgates of consumption are open! And the guilt lies squarely with the new AD, who apparently has knuckled under to the pressure of the distilleries.

    The horror, the horror... :FIREdevil:

Consider yourself, self warned. I hear that group behind you has a rather raucous tailgate planned given the late kickoff.

Who am I kidding, those a-holes would tailgate like that if it were a 4:30 am kickoff!

The floodgates of consumption always flow in the mall lot!

  4.

I love the announcer guy. He brings passion to the event. He is the only reason to go back sometimes.

I don't see why everyone has to bash him for having SPIRIT!

C'mon if you just stop fighting it and let yourself go you'll see that it's wonderful. Come, come to the dark side.

BTW, WoolyBully is already there. He has quite the man crush on the announcer dude...

It's probably going to take Jamie and that little blonde headed fella some time to get over the tragic loss of Dad. Dunno what happened...he left to get a coke and just never came back. Local law enforcement is baffled by this seemingly random and senseless crime.

In other news, my letter to the Trib was printed today, vis-a-vis the Bulls looking to relocate to the fairgrounds as a way out of RayJ. 'Let ya read it Friday night.

And if tomorrow night goes anything like last week, I might just welcome the escape...

They should put nets up in front and behind the 3rd level like a sweat shop in China.  Not that they care about us, but they can't afford to lose a potential paying fan...

  5. Thanks great 8. I was a little worked up Saturday night and just wanted some help so I threw my number out. Thanks to Brad for giving it his all to help out.

FYI, USF is getting new tickets sent out and we did also enjoy the game once we got to it as it were. Looking forward to a new game this week and hopefully the same outcome.

Also, thanks to everyone for not blowing up my phone since I published my number. Just shows that no matter whether we all agree or not at least most are good people who all want the same thing...to win a national championship THIS YEAR!

  6. I also just got an email thanking me for going to the fame and then an hour and a half later another telling me that we are kicking off the season tomorrow. Yeah, the new AD should focus on the small stuff a little because we have been notorious for letting things like this go unnoticed.

    Seems there is no accountability.

  7. Winners: USF

Losers: people bashing Davis when he was hurt and missed a huge chunk of the game

In all seriousness, the defense needs to tighten up, but the offense was better than any four quarters combined last year. Note I'm not saying they were great, just better than last year.

  8. Thanks Wooly. I feel better now!

I checked my seat location etc, and just thought that the club access was driven by the unique identifier scanned for each ticket this year. I guess I should have known they would screw it up and called them to make sure that the lack of a club access stamp was a mistake and not a change to the process. I mean they sent me a letter saying thanks for all of my money, they knew my donation and I assumed the lack of a stamp was a change in procedure.

So you think they would have issued a scanner to the ushers at each door leading to the Club to make sure the right people were getting in every time.... ?? As an aisle sitter, up near the Cub door, I would have gone postal with the backup .... not buying that excuse, though. They made a mistake with missing the stamp but you're just as guilty for not checking when you got them.

Just as guilty? Now, that's just stupid.

Could I have caught someone else's error, yes. Should the customer be considered at fault, no.

But hey, it isn't what you or anyone else thinks. I went back and checked and we've been green jacket donors for ten years. Lots of stuff can be avoided with enough foresight, but I checked that I had all eight tickets and that they were the right seats.

The fact that the tickets were wrong to begin with is bush league.

The fact that there is no one to help donors with issues at the information desks of our stadium is Bush league

And the fact that they didn't have someone from the ticket office at each club entrance for at least the first game is just a colossal fail.

Season ticket sales are down, not handling an issue they caused, regardless of whether the customer could have caught the problem, is the worst thing they could do.

So, you are correct, I could have caught the error, but the point is that they caused a problem then most importantly they weren't able to fix the issue in time to minimize customer inconvenience.

I mean hell, I'm over it for the most part, I just hope they show some level of remorse and take responsibility for screwing up to begin with.

  9. Thanks Wooly. I feel better now!

Oh well, I'm sure they will take care of it. They can't exactly afford to run off paying customers at this point.

Yes, you will see me next Saturday and by the way, our tailgate theme is Mexican, so go easy on the head locks!

  10. I went back to the ticket area I have Brad and no one from USF had showed up.

I wish someone would call me..... I want them to fix this not me. They had no issue cashing my check and amibel or ericwould would would would have been available to help.

  11. FYI. They gave club access tickets to tickets standing there. TSA took care of us. USF never even showed up after calls from people here and from the ticket information desk. No help. Really makes me question the $10,000 + dollars I've spent over the years...
