Sadly I think FSU will get exposed against Louisville, taking away a lot of hype and emotion going into our game.

    **** you ACC scheduling.

Edit: wow the word "****" gets censored?? Makes it seem much worse with four *'s IMO.

FSU could be 0-11 and there would still be hype going into the game. It's fricking FSU.

Theoretically, if I keep it to myself, I have a higher chance of winning, right?

Just kidding. It was FBCHICK. You can thank my ability to remember seemingly random/useless pieces of information, yet an inability to remember important stuff.

Thanks! I really like their chicken salad.

  3. Historically Syracuse has sucked against us. They've always had a tough time matching up with our speed and overall athleticism. I think this game won't be any different. After watching how Louisville abused them with their superior size, strength and speed, I have no doubt we will have plenty of chances to use our advantages against them. Their CB's can easily be burned and we have the WR to get behind them. Flowers while he struggles at short stuff, he can hit the long ball very well. I expect a few 30+ throws for him next week. I'm confident we will be 3-0 heading into FSU and be on the cusp of T25 ranking.

In fact the attendance against NIU was not poor and respectable even for P5 conferences. If we continue to win I would expect 40+K against opponents like NIU and you will most likely see later this year.

To your other point though, a B12 schedule would help attendance numbers by bringing in opponent fans. Those programs have been playing for so long that they travel well. For reference:

    58,755 Kansas 9/12/2008

Helped that Kansas and USF were ranked, but any B12 will draw a lot better crowd for our games than our AAC schedule.

  5. With how the team is playing and how well our BIG games have historically been attended, I'm expecting a near 50/50 split with a sellout crowd. There will certainly be a ton of FSU fans, but lots of bulls too. Also, for many like myself, I grew up an FSU fan before USF got football, so I have rooting interest in both. I know that will be very common at the game too. While I'll loudly cheer for USF (graduated from there), I'll also be happy for FSU just not as much lol. Its a win win for me that week.

Attendance won't get better until we start scheduling better teams...the average Tampa fan doesn't want to see us scheduling teams like Tulsa, NIU, and FAU. They want to see us play the Gators, Noles, and SEC schools. Until we do  that, attendance will be poor.

Exactly. I said this in another thread i believe. Our issue is schedule interest, not quality of team or lack of fan support. If we still had our old Big East schedule, we'd be pushing 20k+ season ticket holders and lower bowl sellouts each game imo.

FWIW, just based on the TV up here in Tallahassee there MIGHT be 20-25k at the FSU-Charleston Southern game. And FSU is currently a top 4 team. And there's no hurricane in sight this weekend.

Did you see all the empty seats at the Syracuse game last night? No way we don't have at least 40k for a game against ranked Louisville. They'd have to open the upper levels for sure. Our attendance is more about who we play than anything. Winning helps, but so does not playing garbage teams nobody is interested in.
