Wow. What a shame.

VT will fall out of the top 25. They HAVE to! With BC losing I think there is a good chance we’ll end up ranked....provided we take care of business of course.
-
UCF looking vulnerable this season....
-
We will have our typical slow start, but will win and cover the spread.
ECU has an average kicker so we will see Horne return kicks and make big plays again.
Doubt we will shoot ourselves in the foot again. Also the refs won’t be terrible this week.

With many of our skill players staying after this year, I think stacking the strength of schedule as high as possible would give us the best chance at crashing a NY6 game or (gasp) to be in the playoff discussion. If we can't win them, so be it, we don't deserve to be in those discussions. But if we are good enough, that's our only shot.
Wish we had FSU, UF or Miami on our schedule next season. Good roster to take a shot at one of those programs.

This is fun trying to pick out potential opponents, but we all know what’s going to happen. It’s a short notice loss of an opponent, we need a home game, and with options limited, we are just going to schedule our annual cupcake FCS team.
-
It doesn’t matter who we schedule. Our conference means we never get into the playoffs, ever. A one, or even two loss P5 program gets in over a 13-0 USF team with OOC wins vs Wisconsin/GT/BYU. Not sure why people think otherwise.

Need UCF to lose so their fans can be brought back down to earth! They need to realize that Scott Frost was that team!

We need the toughest SOS possible...
I understand this thinking, but how will that help? We have no shot for the CFP, as seen from a 13-0 team from last year. As long as we are the G5, nobody will take us seriously. If the hope is to look good for the next conference expansion, I think USF’s record the last 35 games speaks for itself.
-
I kind of want a MAC team....don’t shoot me.....already have 2 against P5 next year and that Wisconsin game will be tough.
-
UCF had a game cancelled and would be 10-0. Doubt they will make up the lost game.

Let’s just hope at the end of the year we can look back at this game and say it was our worst one. We seem to play sloppy against Illinois, for whatever reason.
-
Not sure how good TT is supposed to be this year. Maybe the same level as GT?
-
Officiating can’t be this bad again this year for us.......right?
-
Well Illinois has an NFL kicker and nullified our star KR, so our KR game was a non factor today. Won’t be the story for many of our next games.

14-124 Didn’t we have a ton of them in our game last year too?

Or that we have to lead the league in penalties every year?
We did really well with penalties in our first two games. Fools gold I guess. The false starts are inexcusable.

The first half was the worst I’ve ever seen since the early WT days. Strong failed at the game prep. But I’ll take the win.

-
Just need to calm down as a team.
-
Ok. Our run D is officially trash.
-
Good start i was hoping for.
-
If GT blows this year, still doesn’t change anything. Our two games to watch will be Houston (may be ranked) and UCF.

You can't say that definitively. This is college football. We banged up the GT guys pretty good. Penn State should have lost to App St, then turned around and ripped Pitt by 50. Doesn't mean App St would necessarily beat Pitt. I will reserve judgment at least another week or two as to how good our defense actually is.
Yep. Any given Saturday. Also you know GT is going to upset someone later this year. We shoujd get credit for beating that team too since we beat GT
