Jim Leavitt getting fired for PC BS created by the local media on a witch hunt because they hated how Leavitt treated them. Thanks a lot to the boosters, Judy, Doug Woolard, and all that were involved that got the best thing to happen to USF football fired. The Karma is what all of us USF fans are paying thanks to the idiots that caved into PC.

Every account includes; "The school also concluded Leavitt interfered with the investigation by having "direct contact with material witnesses ... at a time you knew or should have known was critical to the review process."" So it was more than just what people mention as the reason he was fired.

And if USF had gotten a winning coach after him, one that kept the team in the top 25 the entire season, it would have been hailed as one of the best things to happen at USF.

Had the media kept their **** in check to begin with there wouldn't have been an investigation and CJL wouldn't have had the opportunity to interfere with anything... Once again, not surprisingly, you fail to look for the root of the problem and only focus on what you want to see as reality.

Agreed!! The local media witchhunt was led by none other than Steve DUImig and Brett McMurphy. Both had daily shows talking about how USF needs to fire Leavitt. Even had Colby Erskin on DUImig show while the host was putting words into the kids mouth. It was sickning. That is Tampa Bay local media for you.

LOL... I remember that "interview" It was sickening how he was feeding Erskin during that.

He's a freshman QB who is being red shirted. He's not going anywhere. He's the future of the program.

how are we gonna redshirt him?

He is NOT being redshirted. His redshirt was burned for 3 meaningless plays deep in our own territory.

Taggs needs to put him in and leave him in. This season is toast already so it can't get worse.

Actually he'll probably "hurt" something this week and get a RS.... they did the same with BJ Daniels.

  4. only a few USF fans would stoop that low to use a tragedy that was clearly not premeditated. FSU and other Universities have had similar accidents happen.

Sorry.... fix the problem and it stops being talked about. As long as GOL is there that tragedy will hang over your head. Add to that they way UCFAA tried to weasel out of paying the family the full judgement and it still speaks to the credibility of the institution. Grow a spine *******.

    Orlando school does it again!!

    usf fans whine and whine

Fantastic Photoshop. The only thing missing from this picture is a bottle of Jamison's in one hand and a four leaf clover hanging out of his mouth.

Must've been difficult to find a photo on O'Leery in a bar.  Guess we should work on Leavitt laughing at the 64-12 grape stomping of UCF during it's big conference year win.    Nah...not that bored.

BTW, USF's med school would like to receive his liver, after death, so we can understand is staying power.

That kind of hate can't be healthy. It's just Football man

Um.... no... the hate for GOL goes beyond football. It's directly tied to his being found liable for the death of one of his players.

Your three circled areas will not work.

The area in the upper left of your project (near Fowler & Bruce B Downs) is not actually part of USF.  It's been leased to the Research Park.

The area in the lower right is a wetlands area, which will mean a significantly more difficult permitting process.  It's also a bit small.

The area in the lower left ("Fowler Field") is a bit too small as well - even a small stadium like Bright House Field (UCF) would be too small.

If we were to build one that would fit a stadium and the needed surrounding areas ... you would look at the space where the track is... here is a mockup using Papa John's Stadium from Louisville.

Thank you for that but if we have the stadium there we will have to make 2 of those areas I circle parking lots for the stadium. Then we can make the stadium with track in it too or move the track thing somewhere else.

Id say that there are numerous sections within the stadium that a family of 4 could sit in ( some with or some without a donation) at a reasonable cost.   Single game tickets are 15.00  (family of 4 can attend for the cost of 1 Buc Lower Level seat). I also Believe USF has season tickets for under 100.00 a seat as well.

Depends on how you live and how you spend your money,  your income to debt ratio as well.   So All families of 4 are not equal.

Thats true thing is for me what about the family who's on hard times and would die for USF we can make it easier for them to get those tickets and at a good spot too and that will also improve the image of USF and bring more people in.

The place holder is already in place. As of now an OCS would go on the current varsity tennis complex and adjacent parking lot. Part of building an OCS would be to relocate the tennis complex up behind the new softball stadium. Only one small additional parking lot would need to be built for handicapped access and that would be across the street in the clear area just to the north of that corner. The large lots just to the south would more than accommodate parking. Also, you would be able to park off the road much like they do at UF. Parking at the SunDome and walking to the stadium would also be an option... heck... we walked farther than that at UF and at UCF.

  7. Loved this gem last night.... well done Dan.

    1. Starting to think O'Liar is Satan's brother or something.

    2. @Southshore26 Honestly was about to post that O'Leary has had to have sold his soul?

    3. @JDentel @Southshore26 well, he did offer a sacrifice a few years back. And got away with it

    He is a bum

he is one of the few Bulls in the NFL.

Doesn't change the fact that he was a lazy bum.

Doesn't change the fact that he graduated from USF and reps our school...and right now, he's repping it very well as a rookie. He's still a Bull and I'll root for him to keep improving.

I missed the part where he graduated. When did that happen?

  9. How is Dunkley much different than Winston?

Unfortunately, in college, a lot of girls are sexually assaulted and a lot more claim it when it didn't happen. You guys haven't hung around Greeks very much apparently (sorry for generalizing, frat boys).

I think it's disgusting, but it's not highly out of the norm if JW is guilty and even less outside the norm if he isn't.

Um... Dunkley was charged with domestic violence.... not sexual assault. Neither good.... one not even close to the other.

  10. They are kids on the student government not USF staff members, and we are playing ECU not LSU or Florida. Most of the student body doesn't even know WhoTF ECU even is, let alone what their colors are. The last time we played them, Skip Holtz was their coach.

They handed out 200, realized their mistake, and ordered green ones. Stop making a mountain out of a mole hill like you and Bear and the rest of the negative nancies on here do.

I'm just catching up on this thread... but your excuse is BULL ****. These are COLLEGE STUDENTS... seriously we can't expect that on that committee they SHOULD KNOW WHO THE OPPONENT AND WHAT THEIR COLORS ARE? Good lord... really?

  11. Flowers is going to redshirt the rest of the year. CWT promised him playing time his first year and NC State was the only OOC game so out of hand (for the wrong reasons) that he was able to throw him in there. Bench will back-up for the rest of the year since he knows hes a Mike White injury away from starting but expect him to transfer after this season.

Bench isn't going anywhere... he'd have to sit a season and he'll be a senior next year. Unless he drops to FCS he's still here next year.

I think it's hard for anyone to be successful in Kansas. Jim can hold off and get a job in a better CFB region.

Jim and Bob Stoops were both successful at K-State with Bill Snyder.  Another Snyder disciple, Mark Mangino, certainly was successful at KU following his stint as an assistant as well.

Bill Snyder was and remains a success at k state.

I doubt Jim leaves a good situation for Kansas

San Fran isn't the rosy place it was previous... there's a good chance there will be a coaching change there soon and CJL could find himself looking for employment.
