  1. I've been using other sources to keep up on info; Greg Auman, athlon, /r/cfb, bleacher report etc and have even been toying with getting a 247 account since ESPN dropped our coverage and dismantled our conference. I still feel a little icky going to ESPN.com, but I'm genuinely glad to see that our conference will be represented on the #1 sports news network website.

  2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we've only lost bowls or kept bowls - we haven't gained any yet, right?  Why should I be excited about anything Joe Aresco is telling me?

I agree with this assessment. Plenty of unanswered questions regarding our new homes post season picture. Why hasn't the AAC picked up any bowls? Who will our conference champion be playing in the post season should they not qualify for the playoff?

  3. Rage Against the Machine. Bulls on parade.

    Period.

They need to play this at every game, maybe right before half time or right before kickoff, and that could be OUR thing. And guess what, it costs ZERO dollars and doesn't require any complicated learning curve.

I completely, 110% agree with this.

  4. I'd like some explanation  from administration as to why we are scheduling I-AA schools in years where our conference slate will be significantly weaker than it is currently. Is it that no one wants to play us? Does our coaching staff want to play I-AA schools to start the season? I'd have to think that ANYONE from a BCS conference would be a better pick up than stony brook/Elon. Maybe they anticipate a tougher conference schedule by then?

  5. From a recent ESPN story "The amount the Big East receives for its new media deal could be a huge factor in attracting BYU, Air Force or Army, sources said. Media estimates have projected the Big East's deal annually will be worth between $60 million to $130 million. Those figures would translate to between $3 million to $6.5 million for each football-only member and $4 million to $8.7 million for each full member."

Anyone else think that seems kind of low?
