Gotta say that photoshoot video was a nice touch (helmets looked much better in action), and got me a little excited.
With all the culture starting to being its evolution, it really makes me excited to see what the intro video will look like this year, and how different the lineup announcements and various player photo/videos will look on the jumbotrons, I think even the smallest changes like those will go a long way towards making everything else better.
Totally Agree about the helmets, I'd describe my feelings on them as luke warm (really didn't care for the matte green) when they were first revealed.
-
I just want to see us display some fight.
Amen.
-
I really like the fight song and don't want to see it changed. Sure, it's a bit corny, but what fight song isn't? We can always use the more modern stuff in our official hype videos and highlight reels.
-
That humongous 'U' is off putting, I like the flat green color. Also, why not reverse the logo on the left side so that it looks like horns are coming up the front of the helmet (on the flat green Helmet)?
(Edit: The gold one is ok, not in love with that one either)

Lock it. Lock it now.
Edit: On second thought, let's just take off and nuke the entire thread from the safety of the ESPN AAC Blog. It's the only way to be sure.

Final Score was 5-1. I think KB meant 2009.

I'll be there tonight. Really looking forward to it. Go Bulls.
-
This is awesome. Thanks for the heads up Bulliever.
-
I'll be there. Unfortunately, I'll be bringing at least two FSU alum along. Should be a good time though.
-
I'm not a fan of either. I like the flat mat colors and chrome, but the design of the 'U' logo on the left is atrociously too big and there is way too much chrome on the helmet on the right. I like the fact they are trying new stuff, but.... yuck.

When Dunderbacks left the mall, so did the last shred of a reason to go to that mall. New Dunders = awesome
Yep.

This is a very strong hire. Anyone who has learned from the Harbaughs and receives their praises is someone you can bet is going to be an asset to your team. Those guys are fiercely competitive and their players buy in due to their intensity. When things go good, you can see it on their faces. Same when bad things happen. You know they CARE. That's the kind of guy young men want to follow and this guy bring more NFL experience in how to run drills, practices etc. and he did it with one of the most successful coaches in NFL history. No other NFL coach has taken their team to the conference championship in their first three seasons. That says something.
Love the hire, but we need the athletes or it will be all for naught.
While I don't share your optimism for the hire of Wulff, I certainly very much hope to be wrong. I couldn't have been more wrong about our DC pick (Bresnahan) who did a great job with the defense this year.
-
Does Wulff still come if the niners go all the way? How much of an impact would a Superbowl winning coach have on recruitment?
-
I have no prediction, only hope that we can put something resembling a D1 Offense on the field. Go Bulls.

Here you go
http://www.voodoofive.com/2013/9/13/4725856/skip-holtz-usf-louisiana-tech-train-wreck-stealing-money
From the article:"Skip Holtz, as USF's coach, took a promising football program and single-handedly ripped it apart with lame recruiting, poor team management, awful in-game decisions, and a complete lack of urgency and accountability."
-
This is, without a doubt, the worst team in USF history. Is it the worst in the country? Who is worse than USF?

The expectation (at least for me) is that Taggart will turn it around. If the team puts in the work to fix it, our first (conference) win will be saturday Oct 5th against Cincy.

Thanks for posting this (and editing out the commercials) +2 internets to you good sir.

What we really need is more coddling, hand holding, and apathy. Oh wait, we already tried that for three years. Wake up.The time for change isn't in the future, the time is now. When the fans have more fire about the teams performance than the actual players do, that's a big problem. Rainbows and sunshine aren't going to fix whats wrong with South Florida football.

1) What is your tailgate meal for Game 1?
Not sure we will tailgate, pre-game meal most likely to be a quick drive through scenario.
2) How many USF quarterbacks will see action tomorrow night?
Three. After going up 21 points we'll put in bench who plays two possessions with one score; then the Eveld will go the entire fourth quarter but wont get to show too much as Q4 ends up being the shaw/tice show. Defense gets a couple turnovers and 12 points.
3) What do you believe will be the reported attendance?
42,355
4) Will you be staying until the end regardless of outcome?
If it's a blow outwe will leave at the start of the fourth.5) What USF themed website celebrates its 14 anniversary on the same night as the Bulls 2013 season opener?

SCREW ESPin.
Most of us who used to visit the site and blog there are now on BCSNN where they want us.
I wasn't even aware of BCSNN. Unless ESPN changes its format for the AAC blog (giving it's own unique stories and writer) I'll replace their blog with the one from BCS. I just went to the ESPN site and the top AAC story features Will Muschamp talking about the SEC.
