  1. I never been to one of these but it seems less of an event this year. I know in the past it was covered by 98.7 with player interviews and there were long lines for player autographs at the stadium. Is my interpretation wrong?

Well, 98.7 as the voice of the Bulls has must have laryngitis because you do not hear **** about the school.  Unless it is Booger M. laughing us off.

  2. some love the War Flamingo, some love the p*ss yellow helmets.

Both symbolize the same thing, winning seasons and relevancy.

I hope we have our next "thing" this season....

It sure ain't a bus..... lol.. and for the record, I loved the the piss yellow helmets, you could see us in highlight reels of all NCAA teams.. Now we look like the Jets..

  3. With the hopes he gets off 98.7.  This guy just puts down USF every chance he gets.  I hear that obnoxious laugh whenever someone mentions the Bulls and I want to drive over to the studio and slap his ugly mug.

His check down is this... To be good must be SEC, LSU is best... or Bucs, then only Defense.

If he could read he could see that his station is HOME TO USF....

So please, wish him success on the SUCk Network and pack him off with Timmy T....

  4.

Not good at all. Who is next?

I worked through 2 AD changes (Griffin to Selmon then Selmon to Woolard) and the change to the current AD seems to have lead to much more turnover than the two changes before. I have been gone for 2 years and it seems like I don't know that many people left.

I always liked working with you too Mike.  Been through two reps since, got a call last week from my "new guy"...

  5. If they tweet while sitting on the toilet or going to bed I sincerely doubt that affects their focus.

Until this one tweets about that one, or says something about how they are drinking pisswater, or got dinner for free, and it becomes a whole thing.  Then this guy throws a punch, the media starts a hazing story, or the NCAA investigates the "free" dinner...

Josh texted me and said he doesn't have an account on here.

Need to fix that unfortunate situation, asap.

    BTW, WTF is Josh??? :D

Josh Appel is a sophomore Mass Communications student at the University of South Florida, Josh Served as the Sports Coordinator during the 2012-2013 school year and has been working in the radio and TV broadcasting industry since the age of 14. In his time as an intern in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area, Josh has interned for personalities such as ESPN's Dan LeBatard. In addition to being a fan of USF Athletics, Josh is a die-hard Florida Panthers, Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, and Miami Marlins fan.

    Oh, THAT Josh...

    NOW I remember.

If I could just find my car keys now....

did you leave them in the ignition? :D

No, Josh drove him home last night.

  7. For the Holtz New Era we were trying to divorce the program from Leavitt and its roots. Unlikely we even have a sock from that era.

I have a coaches Nike Shirt from the team as well as a grey training shirt and a sweatshirt.  Wife had a client that was on staff and brought her a bunch of the Nike stuff when we switched to UA.

  8. Thank God for this post, I thought Football season would never begin..... You know we cannot really consider the season to begin until we get a full board discussion on uniforms.

Like them both, wish the U on the green was actually fatter and bigger.  Think it is offputting because it looks too skinny on against the size of the overall logo.

  9. I think at this time of year that no news is good news. If there was a report about someone in class, or training, I would assume it wouldn't be good news.

I would say to that point as well, we do our best when we are not seen as any favorites.  The years and the games we are thought to have our asses kicked we pull it up and kick butt.  When we get good press we stink it up.

  10.

Well Booger Macfarlane has no problem slamming us.  Dude needs to be seriously caller bombed when he gets on us.  Show him what market he is in, and that he works for the station that is "home of USF Bulls".

Booger sucks. He's an SEC honk, through and through. He only seems to care if the talk is about football, and he's not the greatest at that either. I like 98.7, but not during 3-7pm.

I think coverage is a bit different, since isn't the ones that took over for Greg Auman dealing with the "pay" stuff, so it's been challenging to get news out besides Twitter, or someone copypasta'ing it here.

Agree with you here.  That was indeed my point.

  11. I'm going to start a petition to change the tempo of final "Go Bulls!" in fight song.

It's always bothered me how queer it sounds drawn out to "Goooooooooo-Bulls!". It would have more presence if exclaimed succinctly in 'one beat' as apposed to 'three beats'. Try it, and you'll see, i.e., "South-Florida-South-Florida, Go Bulls!."

Even chanted with equal timing, as in "South-Florida-South-Florida-Go-Bulls." would be an improvement.

    Thoughts?

    NO...

  12.

I think Rudd has a shot to play in the NBA.

I agree. He has the natural size and good athleticism for it. And there's no question he can make buckets and shoot free throws. It just comes down to if he can play the game right in his head.

Tweener with no work ethic.  Most the time he was the closest fan.  I know he put up numbers in our games, but never that dominant inside, inconsistent outside, and would get frustrated and stop playing.
