I've been edging all offseason waiting for this season to start. Really feel like this team will explode onto the scene this year.

Brian Kelly is a rat POS and terrible human. Can't count him.

As long as we don't completely sh!t the bed in the coming weeks, Memphis and UTSA are likely to be the only two teams on the remaining schedule to be favored when we play. Realistically confident we're going to a bowl.

They're big. They're fast. They're strong. Just don't die out there fellas.
(Honestly this assessment has worked in the past, so let's just keep it going)

Don't remind me. I was thinking about that when I made the post. I feel we dropped maybe 3-4 ints total this season.
Just like the offense with the deep balls, when the D starts grabbing every opportunity on turnovers, it'll look a whole lot better. We're 3-2 and on track for a bowl game and it still feels like we haven't seen a complete game from this team.

Everybody has a weakness to exploit. Let's use that and do stuff to get Dilfer to blow a gasket on the sideline again.
What kind of stuff are we talking about?

Stoked it's not a nooner. We're trying to get up there for the game, but daughter's softball game at 10:30 a.m. meant a nooner was out of the question. 3:30 we can do.

(Admittedly, I just copied this scouting report over from the last Alabama team we played)

I'm with you. Buddy looks extremely fast.
Speaking of fast, I need someone to ask Tramel Logan if that's the fastest he's ever run in his life when he scooped up that fumble

This was a hilarious comparison and it made me laugh out loud thinking about it in the context for whining about football pants lol. Love that movie and the scene was perfect for this reference. Thanks for that!
Reading through this whole thread, this scene kept running through my head LOL

Wait, so, if the CFP stays at 6 highest champs + 6 at large...
Is it possible for two G5 Conference Champs to make it in... (especially if the Big 12 champ, for example happens to unranked)?Or is it directly the P5 champs + highest rank G5 champ?
It doesn't explicitly say P5+1. Just 6 highest ranked conference champs.

They've put the kibosh on altering the 12-team format for now until the Pac-2 situation figures itself out. So what happens now. Clemson/FSU leave the ACC. USF/Tulane, possibly others go to the ACC. Pac-2/MW mishmash picks up whatever westernmost schools that they fancy. The rest of the s***bird teams nobody wants limp back to C-USA, the American is officially dead, and Aresco is out of a job and out of the way on the CFP Committee.

Can't remember which one, but one of the national baseball writers posted a clip of one of his sliders the other night and said "good luck" to hitters. Pretty cool to see knowing he was on that Supers run not that long ago and is already in the Bigs dealing absolute filth

So, those are giveaways to USF fans. They have a booth setup for giveaways outside the stadium opposite the student section, but there is never anyone there? Why is that?

They have to pay somebody to staff those tables. We're in save money mode to pay for the OCS.

He had major shoulder surgery so he's probably still working through it. I'm thinking he's probably positioning himself for coaching. If he knew he wasn't playing this year, he sure did a good job keeping that on lock down. He was still cheerleading for USF during the off-season
He's still building up the strength in his surgically repaired shoulder to be able to do the physical work repeatedly. It's there in spurts, but not consistently. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if we don't see him at all this year and he ends up joining the staff as a GA or something

I wouldn't say the O Line was stellar yesterday. Not a lot of holes for running and, while BB had a bit more time to throw, the QB had to move around quite a bit.
They seemed to be dedicated to stopping the run, as even some of the designed runs for Byrum were pretty well contained. Byrum did a good job of not panicking in the pocket, feeling the pressure and sliding around to give himself more time to make the throw. As some of us have said since week one, once some of the deep balls hit, the offense really starts to click and we saw that Saturday

For those saying "we shouldn't struggle with ____" or "we should be dominating ____" ... the volleyball program has been ... not good for a few years now. They're building up to it. We're looking better than we have the previous two seasons.

There was a 48 yard run at the end. The rushing wasnt as good as the numbers say.
This. They had a few chunk runs. But there were far more for 3 or 4 yards or less

He was injured and knew Scott was gone and that he was almost assuredly going to be leaving. I don't fault him.
He was not hurt, but he did in fact know he was transferring and sat out to avoid getting hurt. Jimmy Horn also knew he'd be transferring out but played till the last snap. One player quit on the team for his own good, the other continued to battle with his team until the bitter end.

Not when we get invited to the ACC in the next year and announce we're giving him a big raise. Playoff access and bigger money and he'll stick around to win the natty in the new stadium in 2026
