  1. Tailgating is almost non-existant in Chapel Hill, but I will tell ya'll a little secret if you are driving: Near Columbia St and Franklin St (more or less the northwest corner of UNC's campus) there is a private parking lot that opens early, allows tailgating and is run by some nice folks. The stadium is about a fifteen minute walk through the Carolina campus -- look for the bell tower or just ask someone. You can have a great time in those private lots. Should cost you 8-10 bucks to park, but you will be out of traffic, very near the restaurants and bars of Chapel Hill and should be able to have a great time. Get there early and it will be all Bulls -- Tar Heels notoriously arrive late and leave early. They have a really nice stadium that has a lot of fans disguised as aluminum bleachers. You will see when you go what I mean. DO NOT WALK AROUND CHAPEL HILL WITH AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL ESPECIALLY ON CAMPUS. You've been warned. Good luck. Y'all can win this game, trust me on that.
  2. Check here guys: http://www.wral.com/weather That's a link to the best local forecaster (I am in Raleigh, and will be at the NCSU - Wake game) Right now, they are calling for a high of 59 and sunny, but usually the forecast changes quite a bit by the weekend. 59 may be good football weather, but it's starting to get cold up here for this Florida native... (I'm from Cocoa Beach) And one last thing: UNC's color is powder (baby) blue and white, not dark blue. Duke (their arch enemy) is dark blue.
  3. Hey Guys from North Carolina - We (NC State) played y'all in the Meineke Bowl last year and it's really hard to believe that the cops would come down on you guys. We thought that overall Bull fans were loud and proud but also great people who loved football and did things the right way. Anyway, just a vote of support to you. No matter who the team is, there are always going to be a few people who have a couple too many at the tailgate, but they're not the ones that make a reputation. Like I said, I sat next to you and thought you were great in Charlotte. Good luck in Chapel Hill this weekend against UNC. They are a team in disarray right now. Their defense can't stop much, they have trouble scoring and their fans are torching the hotseat for their head coach. Expect a good effort from Carolina, though, as it is starting to be said up here that this may be the game for the coaching staff's job.
