  1. Well they were the only band heard on the ESPN360 broadcast, very clearly. They definitely should have gone in full gear, don't know what they were thinking.
  2. Yeah look at FIU stadium wow does a high school team play there http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium_pictures/north_america/united_states/florida/miami_fiu.shtml http://www.fiu.edu/~athletic/fbhome/communitystadium.htm Here are a couple of unofficial pictures of our new stadium, to open Fall 2008. Will seat about 30k and will be expandable.
  3. Your comments are much appreciated...still very upset with the loss but glad the boys had a good showing. That young QB of yours is going to make some serious noise for the next several years, he's real good, it was almost a 1 man show out there.
  4. We had a very good kicker that graduated. Poor job recruiting a kicker landed us with our current kicker who is an all-purpose type player...he played WR for us last year.
  5. Your offense only did score 2 touchdowns, pretty prophetic if I may say. I should win the prizes, none of you even came close. Good game, very dissapointing, but good. ÂÂ
  6. Definitely dissapointed in the loss...don't take it too hard, FIU is no joke in football anymore. This is now the 2nd game in a row we've lost because of our kicker, might be 2-0 right now if not for him. I cannot even begin to count how may games we've lost by 3 points or less in the last 2 years. You got a good young QB and solid defense, you'll still make some noise.
  7. Troy almost beat #9 FSU tonight...I'd say FSU is a pretty solid program. Face it, D1a is slowly becoming more balanced across the board...more and more upsets will begin to be the norm, even though I don't think an FIU win tonight would have been a significant upset...Troy would have been huge!
  8. Whats funny is your team history. Last 3 years 5-6, 3-7, 2-10. Nuff said. Do you see any kind of trend developing in those records?? I know a logical line of questioning may not be a USF followers strong point. Keep underestimating us.
  9. Big deal, you did it in 3 yrs, we did it in 5.  It's not that big of a difference really, you guys forced yourselves to move up when the team isn't even ready.  Not like it matters because in a few years you guys will be back in 1AA since you won't be able to have the necessary attendance at games. Here are the 2005 average attendance figures, Provisional Teams section. Made it not by much but still made it. And there are 19 teams with average attendance lower than ours and our attendance as a percentage of capacity was at 91% (with a new stadium on the way), which is higher than a lot of other teams. D1aa, keep praying. http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/2005/Internet/attendance/IA_AVGATTENDANCE.pdf
  10. I hope your players are underestimating us as well...why even play the game, Sagarin should just hand you the win. You're in for a bit of a surprise in 72 hours.
  11. Man are you delusional, USF’s campus is hands down the ugliest and most basic in the entire state…even more so than FAU, and that’s saying something. Our current stadium may be “high school†but are campus certainly is not. And FYI, we are the largest university in South Florida, the “little runt†college in Miami just so happens to have the stellar football team.
  12. You give no respect, you get no respect. You have not earned the elite status you claim on this board. I'm not even going to waste any more of my time replying to these mundane posts, you can at least take comfort in knowing your head coach has done his homework on us... http://story.scout.com/a.z?s=141&p=2&c=564989
  13. You should kiss UM's feet for enabling you guys to stumble into the Big Least. It certainly wasn't all your stellar play and championships. You'll be hearing more from us over the next couple years when we open up our new on-campus stadium in 2008 (only one south of Gainesville) in Miami a much larger market than Tampa. We'll see how long we're in the SunBelt. We think big at FIU and deliver big...youngest university with a law school and med school, football is next...sorry I had to clean you're rear view mirror a bit.
  14. Your inaugural season was 1997, ours was 2002. So each of us faced MTSU in our 4th year of existence, the results: 1. USF loses by 42 points 2. FIU loses by 1 point (and beat MTSU in our 3rd yr of esixtence - transition year) Interesting. You may have an advantage going into this Saturday's game, but don't get to cocky against us going forward, we plan to blow right by you guys.
  15. Hmmmm....November 11, 2000 - MTSU 49 USF 7. That was a nice butt kicking. At least we lost by 1 point and beat them last year. So when MTSU beats us by more that 42 points, you can bring that up again. Go Panthers!!!
  16. Man, you guys got some real characters on your team...you definitely have the ugliness advantage... http://fiuathleticscom.proboards20.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1157466493
  17. You guys certainly are optomistic...I predict your offense with your freshman QB doesn't score 2 touchdowns on our defense. You guys do realize we recruit in South Florida (the real South Florida, not Tampa). You're in for a BIG surprise...it will be unBULLieavable and unfortunately for you, unforgetaBULL as well.
  18. Your freshman QB is going to be on his back all game...here are 2 names you'll be hearing a lot of on Saturday, Antwan Barnes and Keyonvis Bouie. Antwan is currently #1 in the nation in sacks (4) and 2nd in tackles for loss. Keyonvis is 5th nationally in tackles. Both are Lombardi award nominees, they are 2 of 3 from Florida nominated for this award, the other hails from UCF. Keep thinking we're "barely D1a" and you're going to be in for a loooong Saturday.
