  1. TBULL I subscribe to both Rivials and Scout and rarely every even look at the Rivials board anymore.  Its hard topost on any site not in the premium areas and not get smack talkers nowdays.  Fight On State's premium board is second to none but seeing as you can't access it then try Fight On States free board called Audibles.  You should get a better response but please keep in mind we do have idiots in our fan base and not to old it against all of us.
JoePaTurfShoes.. thanks for the information. We have a few stksma Idiots over here also . I guess thats what makes the world go around.
  2. We are far from devastated by either loss of Chisely or Rubin.  Chisely was a role player and would have been a back up.  Most people were more mad about the stupidity of a 5th year senior being inelgible then the loss of a player.  Rubin was a possesion type reciever and ad actually been beat out by the freshmen this spring.  paterno said if he wanted to play this year he had alot of work to do.  It is a lose, like any you prefer not to take.  Connor is also a loss but fortunately we are very deep.  He is not the best linebacker, Pozluzny is.  This would be his first year as a starter and everyone was excited about his potential.
Hey psu nut ,  like to wish penn state good luck in that the bulls don't make them look too bad.... any way thought I would ask you since your posting over here. Whats up with the fans on the rival sight in not conversing with several of the bull fans.  A few of us posted over there just trying to be freindly and its as if we did not exsist or what little responce we got was smack if you will. I posted  While there was 262 online at the time and only got five to respond and 3 of them were bulls fans. Also there is absolutely no post concerning the upcoming game with the bulls. Whats up with that? One lion fan responded by saying the reason (he was speaking for all)we were getting no responce was that the bulls were a cup cake .... ????? Whats your take on this?
  3. If the transfers can provide talent that the team lacks, then they are a welcome addition.  However, a point comes where having a large number of them could potentially be detrimental.  A good thing about having this many transfers looking at USF is that Leavitt can point to them when recruiting.  Yes, some of it may be due to problems at their original school, but part is due to not being able to start there as well.

the transfers of late are those who

1 Had the bulls on their list coming out of high school

2 Did not get enough playing time

3 Realized that they were far from home (home sick?) or realized they made a wrong choice

4  most all were highly rated coming out of highschool and are able to fill in at positions of need.

     5. none were kicked out because they were trouble makers or got in trouble that I know of.( Schaeffer would have been an exception if he transfered) Thats my take...

  4. ...http://gobulls.usf.edu/Sports/News.asp?i=1698&s=Football   From what I read on the Go Bulls practice report today leavitt indicates the  first team players are set for offence and defence--- Football Practice Report (August 22)

(August 22, 2005) Tampa, Fla. – After the second of today’s two USF football practices, head coach Jim Leavitt indicated the workout was a little lighter and shorter.

“The guys are tired, and they probably should be about now,†Leavitt said. “We just have to find a way to push through a few more practices. “Today was about us and tomorrow will be about us. After that, we’ll start to focus on Penn State.â€Â

The Bulls open at Penn State September 3 in a game televised by ESPNU at 3:30 p.m.

Leavitt continued to stress a need to build depth behind the starting units. “I think our number one defense has a real chance, and there’s a couple of number two guys who could play with the ones,†Leavitt said. “And I think the offense is about the same.â€Â

At kicker, Leavitt said Justin Teachey will likely handle kickoffs and true freshman Mike Benzer “is probably a little ahead†on the field goals and PATs, although he wouldn’t rule out Kyle Bronson in that role.

USF will practice at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday before another two-a-day on Wednesday (8:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.). Fan Appreciation Day will be this Saturday when fans will be permitted to attend the final 30 minutes of practice at 11 a.m. and stay for photographs and autographs.

  5. Actually,l hold on, who says the scrimmage was bad.  From what perspective?  You're hearing from the OC, who's team still scored four times.  Was the scrimmage bad, or was the QB play bad?  Don't call the entire scrimmage and team bad, I mean poor QB play could also indicate a stronger defense.

I think the only major concern is the coded, and very cryptic quotes from Smith about poor QB play.  Hardly enough to call the season.

:-X Sorry, I was making a point about what was said concerning the qbs but didn't get it from my brain to the post by saying scrimmage but should have said the qbs didn't have a good scrimmage per the coaches view.

  6. the bulls have one bad scrimmage (per the coaches observations) and..... I guess it is time ole JL moves on with all his lousy staff.  Bring in O'leary for coach then he can hire the guru , smazzie, as offensive cordinator and then the bulls will be the best practice team there is..

  7. I don't buy into all the smoke that is being blown  by Smith and JL about the QB situation being up in the air, all are equal etc.  Reason being  ( except for photos in the first 30m) the practices have been closed . All we hear is what JL is saying.  I believe the qbs are a lot better than what is being said. The element of surprise will be the thing that will keep the bulls in the game or win against the Lions

  8. Could be that they are trying to focus on obtaining home and home series with teams that would appeal more to this region. Personally I would like to see us to play Ga Tech. Its an easy trip for bulls fans and it would also give us exposure in the Atlanta recruiting area.

Hey,  georgia tech ( thats jawja tick, y'all)  ;D now that would be an great team to schedule. With them being so close it would seem to be an natural rivalry too.

  9. BIEN, Thanks for the insight on FSU,,, my thought was on how good JL is at coaching lesser talent and still produce..  For JL  to start from scratch an to produce like he has  in such an short time is totally amazing. I was an gator fan for years and can remember how long it took the gators to go to the promised land ( thanks to spurrior ). So what I am trying to say is that coaching makes the difference. Ole smazza can't see that. I believe that CJL will take us to the top in the BE eventually.

  10. Bien is Right SMAZZIE,, get over it. We realize the LA smog has an adverse effect,,, so gets some fresh air and think about it . The Bulls will get there eventually ( to the big time). Just look at FlaState, I remember when they couldn't beat  the instate schools,,, but ole BB came along and started  winning ,,, then the the interest of big time recruits took off. So with the right ingriedents ,, USF can expect the same. JL will get it done!!!  Ã‚   keep smiling  :) :) :)

  11. I say let rjf make HIS decision,,, be great if he comes but if not may he do well at lsu.... besides some of these ney sayers comments can be read by anyone,, rjf or his friends can pass along the neg talk from Some usf fans.... think he would still come then?????? Lets be positive toward rjf ,,,    just my thoughts on this not meaning to be an sour grape toward anyone  GO BULLS!!!!!!!!   ;D ;D
