1. Sorry, it isn't the pre-game party info you want, but still the same... PRE-GAME!

The HOT Band's seating has been set.  I'll post it Monday when I found out the section number.

FYI - The bowl is is allowing each band 6 minutes of pre-game time on the field.  This means the HOT Band will be able to provide our fans with a spirited, yet shortened, version of our usual pre-game sequence (B-U-L-L-S Spellout, Iconic U, Fight Song, 'The Bull', etc).

    Looking forward to Birmingham!

    AND...

[smiley=beer.gif]GET INSIDE THE STADIUM 15/20 MINS BEFORE KICK OFF TO CHEAR DURING PRE-GAME AND WHEN OUR BOYS GET ON THE FIELD!

With "limited numbers," we need everyone their early.  Our team shouldn't run in and only have 20 guys in the front row until kickoff!  [smiley=furious3.gif] Don't let them down!  Besides, you get to see the band... who doesn't want to stare at the band (or just our feature twirlers). ::)

Thats good news, it's good to know they remembered us!

PRE-GAME!  Good stuff, thats great.  Of course... that means a longer rehearsal the 20th... AHHHHHH!

Oh well, whatever it takes for you bulls fans!

  4. You mean.... the end of Bulliever's Fan Site Shop????????

Honestly, we need to get behind one or two shops and fully support them.  Example: FSU fans buy FSU stuff from one of two places (other than cheap crap from Walmart) -- G & G and Bills.  We need to step up and support these stores that are the only ones supporting US!

Bulls Outfitter and maybe Bulls Heaven (it is athletics offical place)

  5.  Sending postage to all graduating students letting them know about season tickets would be a waste of money.  What person doesn't know that they can buy season tickets to the USF events?

There is a lot of things that we know but yet we do not think about them.  People know that we play at RayJ but they don't think about it when they drive through Dale Mabry because there is nothing there to associate the stadium with us. People know they can buy season tickets but a nice letter can be that reminder. My sister just donated some $$$ to WUSF just because she got a letter, she has known for a while that she can donate to WUSF but the letter gave her the extra push. We need to stop waiting for that fan base to magically grow. We need to be more proactive.

    Thank you

  6. The object of the game is to sell tickets. To collect revenue for each seat

available, preferably to persons who will actually attend the game and

adhere to the resepctive bowl city's chamber of commerce desires regarding

spending etc. It's a sales gig...hawk this thing as best as you can, and

try to create sufficient demand.  I'm not buying the improvished student who

can't come up with $30 and that's the ONLY reason they're not going.

Otherwise, the question would be why doesn't USF purchase 10,000 tickets

and give them away to students. With a population of 40K, wouldn't it be nice

to have 25% of the school show up?

It's the same reason that recent grads may not be springing for season tickets. Not

because the info isn't availalbe (and yes there is a Young Alumni program in

place for recent graduates), it's just that now...the money comes directly

from YOUR  pocket! Not only the price of a ticket, but also your

respective donation to the Bulls club. No more just swiping the old id!

If just being an alumni were enough to sell tickets, RayJ would have been sold

out from day-1 based on the number of alumni in the area.

Blame marketing until the proverbial cows come home, but I'm telling you,

the product is what the product is. You can't convince folks to buy what they

have no interest in to begin with.

How do you manage to go through college and NOT know about your

football team? I just can't get my arms around that one... 8-)

I agree... but a little extra effort from everyone wont hurt

  7. I dont think the 4400 includes band etc. This was the discrepancy on the 5500 and 6200 numbers given out for last years Bowl.

If you look at the seating chart locations USF received sections 32-34, half of 35 and section 12. So if you split 10,000 tickets by 4.5 sections it comes out to about 2200 per section.

The 500 student free tickets are spread out in front of all three sections 32,33,34 and a few rows are open between them and the buyers of tickets. As of right now USF has section 35 fand 34 full , 33 its about 20 rows from full. So that gives you a number close to 5000. Which would be 4400 tickets sold + 500 students

I hope it does not include them...

  8. Do you guys just think athletics has money floating around, growing on trees? I wear the same cheerleading uniform to games 2 and 3 times in a week!

I'm in the band... lets not talk about uniforms!  At least you have a unifrom without holes, tears, and with a NEW logo!!!!!

They have to pay for the tickets they were allotted, bought or not.  What I am saying is they should just "buy" more of them and give them to students, not "pay" for them and not use them.

  9. Lets face it, "little work" has been done by athletics to get out the word.  They COULD do better.

Student concerns, for some reason, are left up to student government to push for or run all the time.  I don't see a big effort from anyone to get students to games.*

***I must say, they did help more this year, buying the 500 student tickets and student affairs did help with the 100 or so studet travel packages.

As much as I love Student Government, being an offical myself, we ARE still students.  We do some good programing and planning, but a little more help from sports marketing, etc wouldn't hurt here.

What I do not understand is why athletics doesnt buy out like 2000, not 500,  tickets for students to go?  I BET you students are willing to do it, c'mon... a good road trip?  A cheap hotel OR the car?  Nothing better! I hear students talk about road trips for less (hmm... closest white castle in Tenn?).

I'm not saying we would have 5000 students lined up outside the first day of "sales," but it's better than PAYING for UNSOLD tickets!  What are they worried about, "ohh USF GAVE AWAY too many tickets!!"  Who cares, we would have more butts in the seats AND it gives students an option.

BTW:  Not that I want to back KL up, but I doubt he is wrong.  I bet you the 4400 includes all the free stuff (students, give aways, and band = ~ 1500)  The band fills more seats than we have members (needing extra room and all, so we will get anywhere from 300 to 500 seats).  Our gift to the number game.
