  1. The team that travels best will be the team that gets picked. Nobody really knows how UCONN or USF will travel. UCONN fans definately get behind their program and don't be surprised when their FB program begins to crack the top 25 down the road. For now, I don't think you have anything to worry about. UL will likely destroy UCONN. The Bulls are going bowling and you fans need to make the trip. Too much fun to miss out on.
  2. Griggsy, My Mountaineers were going to spank the Bulls next week regardless. Blow out city, I mean come on, you didn't really think you had a chance to go to the Sugar Bowl. Did you? WVU by 28. Actually, I'm not that arrogant, I'm just trying to give you another reason to go to the game. Hey, if you beat WVU, then you've beat the best team in the conference over the last 3 years. That alone is worth showing up for. It can happen and actually with todays loss making this game less meaningful and with WVU's big win over Pitt, the mountaineers may be primed for a let down. The road to the Big East title will one day go through Tampa. You guys have come further, faster than any program I can think of.
  3. It was our pleasure, but don't be so sure about them getting the bowl bid. They do not travel very well. Our game Thursday night was 75 miles south of Pittsburgh. I saw perhaps 10 Pitt fans total and I was there from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. I think I'd give the bid to the Bulls.
  4. http://www.fanblogs.com/south_florida/005179.php The following link is just the smoking gun your looking for to support the conspiracy theory. Rod is a good guy and a very capbable young coach. Stick with him. When teams go through coaches like crap through a goose, they seldom ever establish anything positive. It takes time. Be patient.
  5. Thanks. See ya next week and I hope our guys don't overlook your Bulls. Your team is not one to sleep on. Anything can happen, hopefully we can win and give the BE a high BCS ranking. See ya in Tampa.
  6. I think some of you don't understand just how accomplished your program is in such a short amount of time. We've been playing football at WVU for more than 100 years and I think we are a couple touchdowns better than USF, yet I'm willing to concede that USF has enough athletes to ruin my day and my prediction. Be patient. You've come a long way in a very short amount of time. Division I football isn't an easy propostion. Even if you build a program, there's no guarantee you will be at the top forever. Look at Nebraska, Syracuse, Tennessee. USF is better or at least as good as these traditional powers. Yes, Syracuse deserves that regard. Not for recent years, but for what SU has done over the long haul. You've come a long way and your not too far from bigger things. You got the offer to be in the BE for a reason and that reason isn't because you are a great team. It's because you can be a great team in a reasonably short amount of time. Give it a couple years.
  7. Sorry about your loss today. I was hoping you guys would crack the top 25 before we play next week. For anyone who doesn't show up because of a loss, you represent the type of fan that bowl committees run away from. Whether you think you deserve a bowl or not is irrelevent. A bowl brings exposure, experience and more practice reps. All will help your program. We have gone to bigger bowls, with average teams, simply because of fan loyalty. It's important that you send a lot of fans to bowl games. Outside of WVU and Louisville, I'm afraid the BE won't travel well. I hope that one day your program is at the level of Miami's. I believe you can get there. It's possible with all that florida talent and a BCS connection. But please, show up for your team. It's sad when a city as large as Miami can't sell out the orange bowl simply because they don't have a shot at a NC. Hopefully your team will continue to improve and so will your following. Hope our guys don't sleep on ya next week. Outcomes are never guaranteed. See ya then.
