  1. I saw this on Sports Center a couple of times, and this truely is an amazing story.  It really makes you take a step back and realize why we actualy play/watch sports.  I wish that proffesional athletes could take a page or two from this and realize why they play.  It's not just about the money and fame, it's the love of the game.

I saw it too.. I got chills when I was watching it, great story.

  2. The Battle of the Bulge

USF vs Kansas  - September 23, 2006 -  Lawrence, Kansas

LOL! Actually, Rod looks slim in that picture compared to how he looked like at the game. He definitely put on some weight since that picture.

  3. Those old retired snowbirds are putting $$$ into the coffers of USF athletics....The crowd in the dome would be a lot smaller if they didn't come to the games.

Oh I know.. I had no problem with that. I guess where I was going with this is that you can see how far UCONN has come with its program and tradition. Hopefully one day there will be Bulls everywhere in the US and show the support like these old retired snowbirds did for UCONN at the game. We'll get there, it just takes time. I still consider USF a young university.

Signs and chanting from opposing fans are part of what make college sports what they are.

I think I already know this. I'm just saying that it was pissing me off in a funny way. This lady was beyond old and you could just see the pride that she has for UCONN.

  4. Late arriving crowd. The place was near capacity though once everyone got settled in. Nice student crowd this evening.

I second that. When I saw the highlights on Sports Center, you could see that it took about 8 to 10 game minutes to fill up. Also, a lot of the UCONN fans were old retired snowbirds. There was this one old lady that kept putting up different pink signs during time outs. One sign read "UCONN darkens the Sunshine State" or something along those lines. She was pissing me off..lol

  5. I believe in RMC and I still think that next year is the real test for RMC. However, I guess it would be nice to have Huggins in next year. Come on guys, as much as I think RMC is the right man (for now), imagine the exposure and excitement that this will bring to our university. IF Huggins arrives at USF, I’m sure his contract will have a one strike and you are out of here type deal. Ah what the hell, I'm excited to see what happens. It sure is boring not having football around.
