  1. Looks like DePaul saved their ace for game 2. Nasty pitching and Bulls go down in order.
  2. Reading from earlier post, Juergens stole 2nd but was subsequently called out for having left the bag early. Batter ended up getting a hit on the next pitch so score could've been 4-0.
  3. Magnificent pitching. Only hit by DePaul was a bang-bang play at first that would usually be an out (tag or cover by second base player).
  4. Grounder to second. Easy out for win! Bulls take game 1, 3-0.
  5. Shot to deep center caught for 1st out. Nevins back in to face lefty.
  6. Roller to SS goes between legs. One on, no outs.
  7. Pitching change. #15 Richardson in to close it out.
  8. Bottom 7th about to start. Same score.
  9. Lead off walk, but no damage. Bulls lead 3-0 going into top 7th.
  10. Mid-6th. Nevins giving up only one hit (slow roller to first with cover just barely late), bunch of walks, no illegal pitches.
  11. Nevins setlles back down. Demons go down in order. Bulls up 3-0, top 5th.
  12. Hit, walk, walk. 3-1 count. Nevins then gets two strikes to escape Bot-3rd with no damage.
  13. DePaul gets called for another illegal pitch. None on Sara yet. Bulls still up 3-0, mid-2nd.
  14. Kenshyra with a 3-run dingdong over right center. 3-0 Bulls, top 1st!
  15. Second pitch, DePaul gets called for illegal pitch. Could be that sort of day.
  16. Here in Chicago. Weather not too bad, temp around 40, slight breeze, sun shining and clear skies. Go Bulls!
  17. Wait, what? It wasn't talking dirty. It was talking about playing dirty. If I recall correctly, our player overhead their coach tell their baserunner to slide hard or something to that nature, putting our player at risk. She told Ken. Ken talked to the umps. Ken packed up the team and said see you later. I was there, but didn't hear Lenti's actual words or threats. Rumor has it that his threatening words were directed immediately towards our girl covering 3rd base. DePaul had runners at 2nd and 3rd, so I suppose he could have been talking to one of his players as well. One detail left out above, between the "She told Ken - - - Ken talked to the umps," was the Calipari-Chaney-esque "I'm going to kick your <expletive>. I'll kill you. . ." type exchange between the assistants at home plate.
  18. DePaul's Coach Lenti better be on his best behavior. . . I'm planning on bringing my horns up to Chicago next weekend and then sit close enough to hear if he tries to talk dirty to our girls again.
  19. Congratulations to the team for the outstanding season! Very exciting to see them fighting until the end. Let's hope the conference realignment doesn't stunt the progress we've made, although it looks like after Louisville is out, it'll be up to only us to keep UConn in check. Anyone know if they'll have to change flights in St. Louis on their way back to Tampa? I'd love to give them a well-deserved ovation at the airport but I won't be in Tampa until the following week. . .
  20. Congratulations! Wish I could've been there to see it. Acutally, wish I could've just seen it. Thanks for nothing ESPN.
  21. Only at-large teams with a worse RPI (54-USF) to get in were Kansas (56) and Miami(FL) (59). Better RPIs left out: 39-Duq, 45-Tol, 48-SDSU, 49-SMC, 50-Pac, 51-FGCU, 53-UNCC. Looks like they heavily weighted SOS.
  22. Even more, I count 8: ND, UConn, L'Ville, Cuse, DeP, Nova, SJU, USF. Nine with WVU. With 8 BE schools, it limits where they can put us, hence the 10-seed.
