“They’re great guys,†Leavitt said. “[Whether they start] will be determined by how they practice. Nothing will be held against them.
I was worried about this........this is good news.

It is my understanding that the UNC campus is dry and therefor tailgating is dry as well. ÂÂ
Eric
From what I've read it is a dry county as well. You have to join the "private clubs" to get served at a local establishment. But I have to imagine some fans park somewhere to tailgate, even if you have to sneak a pour here and there!
-
I am still clueless as to what we are going to do as far as tailgating......any suggestions? I hate playing stuff like this by ear, I like to be organized! I tried asking some questions on the Tarheel board, but didn't get any help there.

They will be wearing their dark baby blue jerseys so as to harness the sun's heat and keep them warm, while forcing USF to wear all white, rendering them helpless in the frigid 60 degree weather. ÂÂ

He took a wrong turn at Albuquerque:

Why didn't Graber punch him in the face?? Or at the very least, correct him?!

Mixed feelings about our record right now.  However, if you would have told me that we would be down to our 3rd string walk-on RB halfway through game 1, I would have gladly taken 4-2 at this point.  I would say that 3-3 the rest of the way would be a pretty fair expectation to finish up 7-5.  This is a young team that should only get better over the next few years.  I am excited about the future of this team.
-
Unfortunately, it really is a catch-22 that we are in right now.  I like standing the whole game too, and I like the atmosphere in the student section more than around a bunch of 60 year olds, so I sit in the student section.  But, like the stadium deal w/ the Glazers/TSA, we aren't really in a position to be picking and choosing who comes to the games.  We just have to be happy we have who we have in the seats.  Sucks, but I believe it will get better in the future.

Great folks, let's try to run off the some of the best national publicity that we've gotten for our football team/school in a long time by insulting the person who has written two national articles detailing an up and coming college football atmosphere at RJS. ÂÂ

Despite your opinions on his skills, Pat Julmiste is nothing but class and the fans should treat him in kind.
Agree 100%
Though, I have to admit, if Ponton busts an 80 yard TD run Saturday, JJ sacks the QB 3 times, or Chambers catches a bomb for a TD, it will be pretty hard not to cheer for them. These guys messed up, and they've paid the price by losing a big chunk of their college careers because of it. Let's let them get out there on the field and make it up to themselves, the coaches, and the fans.

Just checked weather.com. Cold front looks to be moving through Thursday. Right now the forecast high for Friday is 53, and for Saturday it's 63, with lows of 36 and 41 respectively. I can't wait for a little cool weather, should be perfect for football!!! Bring your (green) sweaters, Bulls fans!!!

try not drinking at these events and see what happens
Does not compute

Matt definitely gives us the best chance to win every game but if he goes out, it doesn't mean we have ZERO chance to win... but there's really no reason to be even talking about that scenario unless it arises ... unless you're like smazza and just need a little variety in your ***** sessions about USF football.
If PJ was forced into extended playing time, AND we don't establish some sort of running game, it would not be pretty......but you're right, it's useless to speculate on that unless, god forbid, it happens. And, for the record, my glass is half full.
-
I'm with most of you on the not booing thing, simply due to the fact that I want my team to win and it may affect him mentally (I don't think it should affect him, but PJ needs every advantage he can get). But I will agree to disagree with the folks that say PJ is a good/decent/average QB. I believe if he is forced into extended action this year, we will be in big trouble.

pulling out Fri. morn around 5-6 am!
(in best Beavis imitation voice) Heheheheheh
Driving up, probably leave Thursday after work so we can see the sights Friday.

I like this one:
Re: Will we beat South Florida? USF SHOULDA beat Rutgers.There.
Does that answer your question? They got a frosh QB who is Tim Tebow Jr. -- could absolutely murder us.
-
I honestly hope they sit on the bench a while longer. Learn from this. I don't want bad habbits to spread on this team.
If they haven't learned by now, will they ever? 6 games is a huge chunk of a player's college career. I think they were punished for what they did, now they have done their time, so let them play.
-
PJ led us to a bowl game last season???? More like Andre Hall led us to a bowl game, PJ was just along for the ride. While I don't respect people booing him coming in at all, he is horrible and if, god forbid, he is forced into any extended action this season, we will be in big, big trouble.
-
I have Lightning season tickets, but will be DVR'ing the home opener and going to the Bulls' game.........Bottom line: Hockey - 41 home games, USF football - 6 home games.
I do understand that it will hurt the casual fan attendance a bit however.
-
I bet it was the gla$ers themselves.
Son of a......!!!! ;D

Yeah, I just lost an old piece of crap Weber grill, I was actually laughing when I came back and it was gone;  I was like, "who steals a $20 rusted grill w/ a bunch of ash in the bottom of it?"  You guys definitely lost more than I did, I've seen that pong table riding around and it is sweet.  Good luck finding it, we'll certainly keep an eye out for it.
-
Probably the same bastards that stole my grill!  >
Huge violation of Man Law in both cases.

In preparation for the weather in Tampa, Edsall will have them indoors all week, with the heat cranked up in the Mark R. Shenkman Training Center. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-70s for kickoff Saturday in Tampa, but the humidity is expected to be near 80 percent. Edsall said they would have the heat turned up in the mid-80s on the indoor field.
Maybe I'm just a Florida boy, but does this seem strange to anyone else???

Alcorn State, huh???  Carlton, just keep repeating to yourself, "Steve McNair, Steve McNair, Steve McNair......."
Who drives the furthest for a Bulls game?

I make the long, grueling haul from "Beautiful Forest Hills" (as the sign reads) each and every game. ÂÂ
